(March hols 17) GBTB - Children's Festival and Legoland

GBTB

Wished we had more time and could visit GBTB more often since we had the membership...oh well..but time was tight on school days. The kids were busy bodies. Mon - library, Tues - Tong had soccer, Wed - jie had ballet, Thurs - they had swimming, Fri - Jie would be having Chinese dance, Sat - upcoming self defense and Chinese lessons, Sun - Church....we did not even have English and Math tuition...

It was the dinosaur theme at GBTB, tong's favourite. He knew so much about the dinosaurs, it was amazing..

the models were so ginormous, I thought they were inflatables but they turned out to be solid structures. Mind-blowing. How did they make and assemble them?

It was fun. They had to go to different places to find the answers to the questions in a booklet before they could redeem a prize. We were there with our favourite cousins. While it was a scorching day, it was ameliorated by being there with one of our favourite people.

They did not have the membership, so we parted ways after finishing the egg hunt. We went to the Flower Dome and it was the Sakura theme.

See the dinosaur egg in gor's hand? That was the one we redeemed for completing the booklet.

the kids delighted in taking photographs. It did feel like we were in cool Japan with the balmy temperature in the dome.

We should visit Japan one day!

Ha, jun was missing in these photos as he was snug asleep in the carrier

The big ones definitely enjoyed taking photos of the picturesque backdrops.

They took turns to take photos of mama...

I must say, their skills were improving

Laugh, we had a we-fie, the sleepy baby looked so comfortable

Ha, the very cold Cloud Forest

We even had time to go for a soccer make-up lesson in the evening

I was amazed that Tong had such energy, considering we had walked for a really long while at GBTB

LEGOLAND

While the big ones go on rides, mama charted the little around in the buggy and took photos of the various Lego structures...

It was a mad rush. The kids had swimming in the morning, then papa came back at 12 plus and we were heading to the customs when papa realized that Ah gong did not pass him the Malaysian toll card. We drove back to the carpark to wait for ah gong and papa almost called off the trip as there was a jam at the customs.

Well, we persevered. After an jour of jam, we finally made it to LEGOLAND. It was not too crowded, so we managed to take the rides we wanted...

Finished off at 5 plus and headed to our usual shopping haunt for our shopping jaunt.

March hols was over in the twinkle of an eye. Jie got an extended holiday as she was struck by a serious bout of cough. It had been a week and she was still hacking away. We thanked Jesus for blessing us with divine health and protection, and rested in the knowledge that He had great blessings for us.

(March 17) What? Is it March already? Many photos of our boss baby

On a sunny Mon, we went to West Mall Library to meet Aunt Val, JJ and Jayron. Had ice cream and dinner together before heading to JJ's house to play. This had become our Monday ritual.

Mama's friend worked for the Chinese newspaper agency. She bought the book and thought she would write about it in the parenting column. She interviewed me over the phone  and asked for some photos.

So we went downstairs and asked tong to take some photos for us. I thought Tong was quite a good photographer. That smug smile on jie's face!

asked papa to take some shots for us too. mama remarked to xun that tong was a better photographer. ha, papa always took weird-angled top-down photos...well...I supposed tong never did that as he was way shorter than us. ha

tata, the article appeared in the newspaper! It was way bigger that what I envisaged. I thought it would be a small column at the side and did not put much thought into getting good photos. We were in PJs, papa was not in the photos and wai po asked why we did not include her! laugh. well, it was really good publicity. What a blessing.

talking about puns, saw this on some fb post one day...it was hilarious

There was an upcoming movie titled "Boss Baby". It certainly seemed apt to use this to describe the little tyrant in our house, who had a flair for ordering people around. That day, we were at the playground playing with the other students from BPPS, there was a big 10-year-old jie who was enamored with jun. He lay on the floor and insisted that she did the same, to which she obliged.

The little tyke loved the waters. Big appetite for risk-taking and adventure. He would deliberately lift the float up to challenge my authority as I asked him to keep both hands on the float.

Did he resemble Squirtle? We got a nanoblock Squirtle figurine from a fair and the kids asked Xiao biao gu to assemble it. Little Jun overheard us talking about Squirtle and went into Xiaoshu's room to bring out the Squirtle soft toy.

Taught him to put both hands on his cheeks when we asked him to pose.

He loved all things pretty and dandy, especially jie's accessories.

He even put on her crowns.

and used her bags..

he had a fetish for bags, baskets, trolleys, anything that could be used for carrying things and pushed

oh and the siblings' card tags too

could not imagine life without this little cutie pie...he had brought such joy to us and our extended families

This 16-month old was already scaling stairs and climbing structures at the playgrounds...and could steadily walk down stairs without using the railings sometimes...he was definitely one intrepid explorer...hmmm perhaps he would start soccer at 3?

well, the brother loved to get dressed in matching attires...he was wearing jie's sunglasses...

life could not be sweeter with these three munchkins...

Parent-child bonding day at Arise...I supposed I would only send Jun to school when he was  5. Not only to save money and avoid the logistics challenge of having kids schooling at two separate places...I thought he would fare better from modelling after the big ones...well, he had a headstart in brushing teeth, he was allowed way more leeway in many things...

well...wishing that the kids would grow up sooner and pining for the younger days...what a contradiction. heh heh heh .
