Ah... attempted teriyaki wings..
Ribs! I bought a Ninja Foodi from Tao Payoh Cash Converters. Trusted Aunt Karen's judgment that this was a good device and saw it by chance at Cash Converters. Someone had returned it to Amazon and somehow it ended up at that shop...it was on the floor, almost missed it...and got it at such a good price. the usual would be at least $300 ish, close to $400 but I got it at $219. It was an amazing tool. Such a steal.
Shrimp paste toast....Mama was getting better at cooking...haha experimenting

Sun, sea and sand. Out with You You at East Coast Park
An old photo of Tong at the beach...hahahahha. Mei insisted that this was Baby Dylan...
Jie went to play at Skynet alone. Mei zoomed around in this cute trolley car.
The teenager at home - she would sleep at 2 am and wake up at noon the next day
Painting at Wai po's house
Buying a new bike for Tong at papa's friend's store - he looked like a housefly in this helmet
Biker chick
The poor Jun, the littlest one often encroached into his space too...but he loved snuggling with her
Interesting incidents - Once, Mei saw the number 25 on a piece of paper and she said 52! Another time, we were playing I-spy in the car and I set a word with the letter P, and she said "Pop-it!"
I was drying my hair and she saw strands of hair on the floor. She went to take tissues for me to clean it up. She would often bring shoes to me or anyone in the house. What a sweet girl.
Was reading Jun's story to them and I said we would write a book of puns for Mei and she said "punch punch punch" and made a punching action (clenching fists and bringing them together)...another time, I said that she was such a batty girl and Tong asked what 'batty' was so I said 'crazy', 'looney' and 'going bananas' and she went 'oooo ooo ah ah', just like how she was described as doing in the book.
Papa used this photo for the FB post that talked about his promotion
Went cycling one day...while the young ones played at the playground, papa and xun cycled to the beach
We were still in the midst of the pandemic....life had been very different...had not been able to travel for 1.5 years.. we still could not eat out as a family as the stipulated number was usually 5, then 2 at a point, then no dining-in at all for now till 18 August...well...sigh...i felt the kids were missing out a lot on childhood with the cancellation of trips, camps, playdates...i could only pray that it would be over soon and peace would prevail on earth...
