Rick's Birthday Party
Waiting outside 7-11 at the Sentosa waiting point
Wang Ping Jie invited us to Rick's birthday party which took place on a humongous yacht. Coincidentally, it was Papa and Mama's 18th wedding anniversary so Papa teased Mama, asking if I liked the special arrangements. Cue: roll eyes.
The boat could accommodate 50 people but she had only invited 20 as she wanted the luxury of ample space for everyone to move and lounge around. Papa and Mama did some sleuthing and estimated that it would cost some $5000. This was later confirmed by Tong who said that Rick mentioned that it cost $5000 but his mum was rich and could afford it because she sold amber beads. HA
Papa dedicated a FB post to Mama: For our 18th wedding anniversary, am thankful that we got to join a yacht party for our little nephew's birthday (the yacht was huge, by the way!). Joked with the wife, that 希望她还满意我的安排 LOL
Regardless how we celebrate the anniversary, what matters is that our love is getting stronger with time! Days of heaven indeed. Wouldnt give this up for anything else in the world.
Papa and Mama explored the whole yacht. We were on the upper deck alone...woah luxurious. It was so much bigger than the one Papa and his colleagues rented a few years ago, the one Mei kept flexing about as she got to go on that trip as she was not in school then.
Our capybara was growing up so fine. Er Yi said he lost the baby fat and had become so handsome.
Papa and his precious girlfriend
Jun said the wind came from beneath the net and was especially cooling
Ah what a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon
The girls. oops no shot for the boys
Jie got Papa to take glamourous IG shots for her. Jie cut her fringe and applied mascara. Tong and Jun were mocking her by pressing down their hair and yapping, Oh look at my bangs and eyelashes.
I guessed..nothing beat having annoying brothers. Papa said Jie would wind down the car window after dropping Tong at school and she would scream I LOVE YOU TONG. Tong threatened never to take the train back with her if she did that, so she did it more discreetly, aka not as loudly, nowadays.
Chilling on the deck together - JUST US
It was a very lovely yacht
In one of the cabins. The bed was really high. To use the toilet, one must press the "before" button for it to be filled up with water, then "after" to flush away the water.
Water play time!
Mei actually fell into the water when she was trying to get onto the flamingo float. She was really brave and declared that she was still willing to go on the float.
Ha, Tong said he was flung off on the first ride. Then Jie got flung off first on the second ride but the flamingo tilted and became vertical so he fell off too.
Uncle Ken and his solitary boat ride
Just chilling on the floating mat
Jie attempted to do a back flip and she succeeded after several tries.
Jie and Tong jumped from the deck into the seawater! Mama admired how the kids were so fearless. Well, I told Papa I would go into the water to play if there ever was a third yacht trip. I would just wear a life vest!
Mei saw the rest taking the kayak and asked Papa to go with her.
All refreshed and looking pretty
Heading back to the shore
Ah, a really special celebration...and here was to many more years to come...that our marriage might thrive and prosper, grow even deeper roots like the majestic palm tree (mentioned in the 20/7 sermon by Pastor Lian!) and be so fruitful, yielding much bliss, contentment and joy...and be a great testimony of how a godly marriage could be like...and be strong and radiant...and truly exemplify days of heaven on earth. Enjoying our little piece of heaven here. I love you so much, hunny bear.
