So it was finally the start of April, and we are off on our trip to KL! 3D/2N, not really alot to do, but was still an awesome get-away with the family!
posing just before departure - Jun's virgin flight. He survived well, thankfully!
Xun took this pic for us, oh well, still a decent shot
daddy with the 2 darlings
this huge "giant tree"-lookalike was really a huge social gaming machine. Not too sure how it worked, but was still impressive, nonetheless
check out our special Jetstar SG50 livery aircraft! pretty ah!
First stop: the Wellness Lounge at T1. Complimentary access with our ANZ card, pretty decent for something FOC haha. And Tong really loved the free fish spa treatment!
Getting his feet soaked in the water, letting the little fish nibble on our dead skin haha
View around the lounge. Not too bad, since it was FOC!
food spread, definitely not like the business class lounge, but good enough for the family. The grilled chicken was really quite tasty
the goofy grin!
totally enjoying the fish spa, sitting all by himself
stayed at the Berjaya Times Square hotel. Quite pretty i must add. not too ex too
view at the hotel lobbylounging aroudn as usual
huge lift lobby area
waiting to check in. This cheeky Tong, always wanting daddy to carry him
our bed! woot. we had a 2-bedroom suite, but we really only utilised 1 bedroom and the living room. the view was magnificent from the 34th floor!
not too sure what the 3 kids were up to
huge bed, but not big enough to accommodate daddy hahaha
living room where daddy slept. very cosy!
daddy with the 2 big darlings
musical steps in the background! the steps were made like a piano, and each step would produce a musical note. quite interesting
the red "tiles" were interesting too, stepping on them felt like.... rubbery? anyway, nice feature installed at the Berjaya Times Square shopping mall
going up and down the musical steps
our first stop in KL was our favourite activity... grocery shopping! haha
as usual, Tong must check out the fish, crabs, prawns etc.
headed over to KL's Chinatown at Petaling Street. design was very much like any other Chinatown, with the distinctive gates arching over. Inside, it just felt like a giant pasar malam! rows upon rows of stalls selling similar wares. Got nothing except for a dual-head charging cable for RM15. Quite a good deal, i must add
view of the hotel, from the swimming pool
had some time on our first evening, so we went to the swimming pool. swimming never fails to make the kids happy
now... where was the pool??
long trek to the shallowest pool
finally, in the baby pool!
Jun's first experience with the pool. managed to get his feet wet, since he only had a swimming diaper
back at in the room, the night view was pretty indeed. not too sure what this building was, though.
Edit: googled it, it's the Menara KL Tower
the famed Petronas twin towers
meal at some hong kong cafe in Berjaya Times Square. Mummy says it's a famous restaurant, i'm not so sure. Anyway, the food in KL is generally more affordable, and pretty delicious! aaah.... the perks of staying at Berjaya Times Square!
pretty mummy with the little one. he's like a koala bear, forever clinging on to his dearest mummy
photobomb by papa!
Tong, showing off his popcorn
read somewhere that popcorn can be really unhealthy.. hmm... tonnes of saturated fat i think
entrance of the indoor theme park within Berjaya Times Square. the kids could only go on 7 rides, out of the 13. but i guess that's already very worth it, if we compare to Singapore's prices? RM147 for 2 adults and 2 kids, FOC for Jun. aaaah... the perks of staying at Berjaya Times Square! (did i already mention this? hahaha)
inside the theme park
candy floss! still cannot understand the attraction of this snack
check out the roller coaster in the background
pirate ship! Tong's gotten a little more adventurous these days, perhaps because he knows he has his darling sister with him
posing at the Crazy Bus ride
not that crazy after all, but it's all good fun for the little ones
check out the giant ice cream cone!
another of the family rides - the train that goes around the theme park
long long long escalator ride to... Paradise!
Ah ha, the above was posted by papa, now mama took over the writing and had to continue with the rambling...
the children went for the bumblebee rides...the theme park was mostly empty, which was really great, so we needed not queue up for anything at all...
there were only 7 rides for the kids but they were enough to keep them entertained for the whole afternoon
mama sneakily took a photo of this picture which was flashed on the computer screen by the official photographer. What? They wanted to charge us 30RM for this shot?
carousel ride
chanced upon a vintage plane
the kids loved the bumper cars. It was rare to see bumper cars that catered especially for little ones so they could drive on their own without the parents. They played like three times at one go...haha...till their legs were tired
So the long suffering parents waited patiently while the two had a whale of a time
Family ride on the jeep
well, kids needed not much to make them happy...a simple run-down playground...but so fun when you had your ever trusty sidekick-brother following you
even the baby section could be interesting when you were in good company
tried their hands at a game stall
tong won a big prize!
this was tough, you had to toss the ring and it had to land on the spot exactly before they could get a prize
ok, papa knew you had to throw it in a parabolic way...but it was just too difficult
nope, nothing
went to eat at the famous hawker street. the satays, chicken wings, zi char - thumbs up!
busy bustling night life
totally satisfied and we headed back to the theme park to have more rides before it closed. We got swindled by the taxi drivers. Using the meter, it cost 13rm to get there. But the taxi driver demanded for 20rm and we had to agree as the price was all rigged at 20rm...and I noticed he turned on his meter and the whole trip cost merely 4.50rm!
the next day - last shopping trip before we took the plane
an outlet mall! opened by the Japanese
nothing very much, papa bought a pair of working shoes...we ate a Japanese lunch...
and it was back to our sunny little beautiful island! Mission accomplished!
