(June 2017) Science Centre

A blast from the past - Xun must have been 5 in this photo? She was still enthralled by Elsa then. Sad to say, she had outgrown this princess phase and no longer fancied clothes with characters.

Another day at the church. Tong with his usual request to take a photo with the balloon sculptures.

Science Centre with the triplets

ah, just frisking around at the entrance

The little turtle liked to take photos with all kinds of funny pictures...

The first installation...oh did you see some figures talking to one another among the pillars?

I wondered what caught tong's attention. Note: The brothers were in matching yellow tees, identical pants and white shoes. cool eh?

A mermaid and a seahorse. Well, the object certainly did not look anything like that, but from a certain angle, this picture was formed.

Ah...a picturesque scene of the sea

or of the door? when we walked from one end to the other, you could see the door becoming more and more prominent, it was like we were shutting the door on the sea.

Ha, magic mirror with hilarious outfits

cowboy

even a ghastly ghost

Jun the dandy pirate

ooo...the whole section was about illusions...

very interesting as we had lots of hands-on activities

this was an orange room, everything was cast in this dull, drab orange. If you shone the torch onto the walls and objects, you would see their full colours.

Ah, a ghost baby playing on the piano...

We checked out the outdoors and spent quite a long time there...

trying to find the animals that were listed...

Went up the tree house that was closed for maintenance when we last came...

A spiraling stairway

then down again...secluded in a peaceful corner, tucked away from the hustle and bustle

ah, more captivating exhibits

there were so many to explore, I certainly did not manage to capture the pictures of all the places and things we tried...

in the typhoon simulator hahaha

There was even a free mirror maze and the kids went into it a few times. We even caught a show in which the staff ran through a few million volts of electricity through some wire coil and there would be a thunderous crack each time it happened. Suffice to say, it was definitely electrifying. hahaha. mama received a message from an old friend that day. She remarked that her 2.5 year old daughter adored "Sarahbelle's playful puns" and read it twice a night, though she did not think the young lass understood any of the puns. Well...that was really encouraging, I had some ideas for tong's book...i surely hoped that it would be even more well received than the first one.
