Well, the duo was mostly getting along quite nicely, though they could be at loggerheads at times, with both of them provoking the other for no apparent reason than to get under each other's skin...
Donned the Paw Patrol tee that Daddy had bought in the UK
on a regular Sunday...we went to Hillion Mall to eat breakfast and Jun was captivated by the cooking show. We actually stood there for a really long time, more than half an hour? We actually watched all the different shows and completed the entire series. gosh...the little chef in the making.
The FIFA World Cup! Ha, Dad bought Japan and Brazil jerseys for himself and the kiddos.
Coincidentally, the theme for my D&D was "Around the World", and my table was going to wear football jerseys. Hurray, I could actually fit into jie's jersey which was meant for kids who are 150-156 cm tall. Yayyyyy for being petite!
At Queensway shopping centre on another ordinary Sunday, in the hope of finding a new pair of boots for jie, eh...to not avail. Perhaps we would find a pretty pair in the UK? Talking about the trip, Mama had applied for leave of absence for the two of you (from Nov to Jan, we probably would come back in early Feb, before CNY). Ha, Wai po did not think it was wise to pluck the two of you out of school when the school reopened...Some friends were skeptical about our choices too...heh but this was once in a lifetime opportunity! What could be better than quality family time in a wintry country? ha
My littlest pumpkin...
Jie loved the EL Characters Day in school. I thought we needed to find a costume for Tong in the UK for next year's event! Perhaps we needed to find a new one for Jie too.
Came across this old photo while I was browsing through the blog posts...did Jun look like tong? Peas in a pod? Photocopies?
Tong took part in another tournament and his team won the third place. Jie lamented that she could no longer play with the younger boys and she was really upset about it. Heh, but she was still keen to join Lele's team for the JSSL tournament as she would be able to play outfield. She whined that being a goalie was boring. haha...Papa praised the two kids for having improved in their skills!
On Youth Day! So the kids got to celebrate Youth Day by not having school and frolicking at Jurong East together!
Blazing day...delightful to be gamboling around in the water play area.
They just needed one another's company, some plastic bags and lots of imagination to come up with wacky games which occupied them for a long time. Jun was just relaxing on the spongy lily pads, absorbed in his own world.
Ha, they had such a wild time at this seemingly simple playground. They encouraged one another to scale the structure (it was not an easy feat).
Yay everyone managed to get up independently!
Well, to the library! Da Biao Gu introduced us to the Book Bugs Cards and Tong was so obsessed with it now. He was devouring books like no one's business and we were going to the library twice a week just so that we could redeem more book bugs cards. Ha...Jun had matured and now chose his own books. He especially liked books about fire engines! Tong was into books on animals as usual. He was really knowledgeable about animals.
Could not wait for the UK trip...another three months! Counting down!
