(August 18) Family photos

Wai Gong's birthday

Without planning for it, the kids belonging to the same family actually wore similar tops, hence you could tell there were two families of kids here.

Ha, one happy grandpa

After the celebration, we went to Hillion Mall to play.

Everywhere could be a photo spot.

Nice murals on the walls

I especially liked this one.

Ha, we could even take photo outside the florist shop.

Papa was away in the UK. Photos before he jetted away...Japan jerseys

Matching Brazil jerseys

Matching Superman tees...nay mama was too cool for that...haha

We went to hunt for a new pair of soccer boots for jie jie. Hurray, we found an affordable pretty pair (it was the last pair) after going to several shops! It was like a quest to find Cinderella to fit the glass slipper, except that it was "CinderBella" looking for the ideal soccer boots in this case.

The bored boys just ran around and made a fool of themselves.

Jun was rather independent and liked to play on his own while mama did her work. Now that papa was not around to accompany him at night when the older ones had gone to bed, jun jun had to go to sleep too. In the initial nights after papa had flown off, he would ask to go out and threw tantrums when told that no one was outside and he had to sleep.

Once, Mama sent him out alone and he was bawling his eyes out. The anxious siblings hurriedly darted out to bring him back to sleep. Well, now mama would allow him to play outside while I did my work. Or sometimes, I would accompany him outside for one minute and he would obligingly go back to bed.

Went to a birthday party. Had lots of snacks, as usual.

Went to play at a friend's house who was living in the same development as our relative who hosted the birthday party. The kids had such favor with their new friends!

On a lazy morning...they made a new bed with the comforters on the floor and gazed out the windows.

Heh, jie could make the bed pretty well and gor gor could vacuum the TV console, sweep the floor with the magiclean broom, kill baby cockroaches and lizards and wash dishes. Haha. They could even bathe Jun Jun. What helpful kids.

Since they complained they were bored, I tasked them to do chores!

heh, on the way to the library. They were blocking my way!

On the car ride home to ah gong's house, Xun spotted a funny dark cloud amongst the cheery white fluffy clouds.

Peas in a pod. They were looking more and more like each other. The almost 3-year-old jun was getting cheekier by the day. He tried to assert himself on many occasions and often got into trouble with his whiny tantrums.

But overall, he was a cheery and very understanding baby. That day, ah ma fetched him by herself to her brother's house. He sat in the car seat obediently. 4 Yi por offered him a lollipop and he asked for two more for his siblings. When asked if he wanted to eat his immediately, he said he wanted to eat it with the siblings later.

Ah ma was so proud of this little boy who was so self-disciplined. It was so hard for a little toddler to wait...he had amazing discipline. He watched TV while ah ma did her prayer session and chatted with her siblings. heh.

Ha, the little one fell asleep on the mat while jie and gor were having their soccer lesson. A coach was playing with another big boy and gave a mighty kick and the ball actually flew over and hit Jun on the butt! He could have been seriously hurt if the ball had hit his back or his head. Thank God that it careened into his fleshy and diaper-padded backside. Jun actually went on snoozing, unaffected by this accident, and oblivious to the alarm experienced by the surrounding parents.

Racial Harmony Day. Our little Malay boy. Er Yi said he wanted the costume when Tong outgrew it.

Heh, Jie at school. Tong was looking forward to P1 as he often heard jie gush about the school activities. She did remarkably well for CA2, scoring full marks for English and Math and 39/40 for Chinese. It was time for a celebration!
