5 Biaogu got married!

Ah two really occasions this year - 5 Biaogu was finally getting married...and Xiao Yi too! OOOO two long-awaited weddings...of course, it cost Papa a BOMB too. ha

There was the tea ceremony at Bukit Batok. We did not intend to attend it actually as it was Children's Day and the children did not want to miss the fun festival. Papa decided to go there at the last minute, so we dropped Tong at the sports complex for his badminton training and headed over.

Papa was really in love with this little imp

I told her to glance at him and she initially gave him a bombastic side-eye ( i had no idea what this phrase actually meant but you kids were using it soooo often)...well she was truly Papa's past life's lover

Yay, we had taken our attendance by appearing right after the tea ceremony and before the couple had to go off. Of course, we needed a photo.

At Orchid Country Club. Ah...the LV aficionados...heh well papa bought the very first oblong LV bag for me because I saw a mother and her daughter carrying these two bags and I commented to Papa that I would like to do it too if I had a daughter...yeah...but Jie wasn't a big fan of fancy bags...but Mei truly was...haha...and Ah Ma bought the pochette for me when she went to Europe...ah, so Jie matched Ah Ma's bag, how nice!

Ah Gong had wanted to join in the first photo but was not allowed to as he was not carrying an LV bag...hahaha

Ha, all the nephews and nieces were called into action ..Gayle and Eden were the emcees and Max was the one who opened the wedding car door in the morning

Oh, who was that dude in the handsome tuxedo...haha

We had fun taking photographs with the couple. The groom was especially game for funny actions.

Three generations of ladies who stood at the same height...not for long though, Xun would surely be growing taller

My cute little dude proposing to his sister

The ballroom was pretty and Xun started talking about how her wedding would be...gosh...my little Xun Xun...

I wish they would stay small forever

The cutie pie

The silly bro

Mei with her favourite cousin, Gayle

I forgot that I actually bought these matching cousin tees!

herded the little ones to go out to take photos...caught in action by Aunt Val

I wondered why Tong always had a glum face when he took photos

Someone commented, was it Da Biao Gu, that Jun looked happy in every photo

Well, cousins are our very first friends...the teens were behaving a little awkwardly now though...they used to be really chummy and chatter a lot...but now there were pregnant pauses and an air of reservation...oh ...I guessed it was a phase...

by height

 by age

which they would grow out of...and before we knew it, they would be chattering like monkeys at CNY gatherings, like what the older generation of cousins did...continuity of kinship and closeness.. what a blessing to have cousins!

(Sept - Oct 2023)Mei's sleeping poses and a new indoor playground

We really had to record the weird sleeping poses we often found Mei Mei in...Well...she was known for having a liking for sleeping outside her bedroom so she could feel the cool aircon air through the tiny opening under the door...

Well she neatly folded her legs up so that she could fit snugly within the frame...gosh....

Well...different pyjamas on a different night

One day, I found her sleeping on Gorgor's bed...she must have rolled off her own bed in the night..

Well in this photo, she was so well hidden under the blanket that one could almost miss her...there was her little tuft of jet black hair...

and in this photo...the only giveaway was her tiny foot peaking out from under the blanket

She also liked sleeping on the dining bench...

Yes, she often could turn a full 90degrees, sometimes 180...

We took a photo of the two turtles and it was a fortunate thing as Mama broke it one day and Mei had the bright idea of referring to this photo and she did build it again! There was a missing block and she remembered that it was in the bedroom, and of her own accord, went to look for it and made it complete. What a sweet lass. Very good at solving problems too.

On a very ordinary Tuesday...we had to be evacuated from our home as a 100kg WW2 bomb was found in the construction site near our home. Well, it was found on Wed and a briefing was conducted on Sun night and the controlled explosion was conducted on Tuesday. Everything went really well...When I was leaving our home, I felt a tinge of sadness..perhaps this was what it felt like to leave one's home in times of war...sniff..thank God for our wonderful government, army and the various public agencies for a swift resolution...heh...mama busy working at Waipo's house, photo taken by the little imp Mei

Papa bought these tees in Bangkok...ha well...i did not want to wear matching tees with him...luckily, Jie was still OK to wearing matching tees with him

The kids went to Botanic Gardens with Wai po while I took Waigong to Tan Tock Seng Hospital

Waipo said she felt safe with Tong around as he would bark at them to behave and keep a close watch on them

Brought Wai Gong to the hospital and was amused to find that he had brought along an utterly tiny water bottle in his roomy bag. it was so tiny...perhaps two gulps of water?

Redeemed a free one-hour session at this new indoor playground at Kinex. Wan To Play! Rather nice place with different sections - gaming machines, seed pit, climbing structure, dress-up corner, trampolines, ball pit, foam pit, sensory area

Ah, the vainpot

We had the whole place to ourselves as it was a normal school day

I laughed at her costume

This was a fun area. Jump on the trampolines and

into the foam cube pit

Could you spot her? She was definitely inside the heap of foam cubes.

Heh sensory area...yay...could play with sand outside and not dirty our own home

Delightful colourful balls

Lots of tunnels...I did not even have to bend as I navigated my way around most parts of the climbing structure

Even a joy ride

Ah...and we did miss the seed playground at Hillion Mall which had closed down a couple of weeks ago

Good that we could come to this place to play instead...it was a tad far to come here from home..but rather near to Ah Gong's home so perhaps he could take you here on a Friday

They had really beautifully lit designs of the galaxy on the ceiling

Game machines

We enjoyed it so we went back to tell the rest and they said they would like to come too!

2nd trip to the playground - she must wear the beautiful gowns as usual

Well they had fun dressing up as princesses and superheroes

BUFF MAN

Well, Tong joined us too as it was Children's Day and they were released early from school

They had a whale of a time pretending to be police and thieves

Tong said was the pit was really shallow so he hurt his leg when he jumped into it

\
I had fun jumping on the trampolines too...bought a 20-hour package so let's bring Jie here next time too!

Fun at church!
