The weather had been erratic nowadays, it would be scorching hot at one moment and pouring dogs and cats at the other. This caused the flowering trees to bloom abundantly and it was a really breath-taking sight. When the winds blew, the flowers would strew the streets, creating flowery paths...I said, this was like having our own Sakura season in our own backyard. Absolutely lovely.
So, after having lesson at Teacher Sha's, we went to the park for some art work. We picked up the petals...
Had flower flurry and flower fights...
then set to work on using the petals to paint our pigs. The topic that day was on mammals...so yeh, we learnt about how mammals had hair, gave birth to youngs and stuff. Teacher Sha was a very creative lady, she always came up with interesting ideas to intrigue you children...
Oh and jie jie had started learning piano. The lessons were conducted at this sprawling bungalow at Brinjai Park, it was costly, at $50 for half an hour. But Teacher John was really patient and jie jie really liked the house and him. Coincidentally, he was from New Creation Church. Wai po and papa both felt that good teachers were worth paying that high fee for. After 6 lessons, jie jie had been promoted from the keyboard to the piano...apparently, that was quick and t john said we coul look at jie jie having exams in Aug 15. We would see how it went...at first, mama had to sit beside jie jie every night to nag her to practise on the kiddy keyboard and she was ever so reluctant. I was lamenting that it was money down the drain for having committed to a year of lessons.
We found out that ah ma had a key board at 6th yi poh's house and took it back. Since then, jie jie had been enthusiastic with practising...so...yeh...i hope she would flourish in her musical journey and be able to use it for God's glory.
jie dared to go up alone for class now. The day when t John took this photo, she was wearing a tiara, she really was a very princessy girl.
Sometimes, we asked you what you would like to be when you grew up. Jie had said princess, then fairy...ermmm tong had weirder answers, like train driver, eh...puppy...and a seal...erm erm erm...
BREAKFAST AT NOOB
The place was very pretty...
the dough came in different colours, so we could make really beautiful pancakes...slappy cake only had brown dough that came in different flavours, so NOOB was better in this regard. NOOB's portions were smaller though, and the pans were further away so tong and xun could not access it easily. In that regard, Slappy cakes was better. both were fun still!
RANDOM PHOTOS of FUN
Jie had an utmost funny smirking kind of smile, while posing with her pal, nana jie jie.
Ah ma brought tong to the Kembangan playground alone once. TOng was the apple of ah ma's eyes. TOng sure knew how to flirt! Ah Ma called him "sweetheart" and he called ah ma "sweet ah ma". TOng could get petulant sometimes, and whined non-stop. 4th kor poh commented to jie that he was "a naughty boy", and the boy who was supposedly sleeping uttered, "I am not naughty!" At times, 4th kor po and ah ma would threaten tong that the police would come knocking if he made so much noise. He would quieten and anxiously asked them to close the door. Once, ah gong opened the door again, and he jiggled and whinged anxiously, "close the door, close the door."
When the two were on good terms, you were the best friend that each other could have.
Then at most other times, you would be on each other's nerves. Jie was the ever sweet one who would give in, she was a most understanding and tolerant girl. BUt papa and I agreed that we must be fair and not let you bully her.
You loved to line up your toys when it was TV time. Your stash of pets was getting bigger and bigger...
And the lazy ones still sleeping on a bright weekend morning...
and the sexy handsome baby who probably would make it big as a model in future...or rather..the boastful mama thought...
alright...next post on the USA trip!
