(Late Dec 16) Christmas Cheery Celebration - Party @ Mazuki, Soccer competition, Polliwogs with friends

On ah gong's car and the trio huddled together at the back. Jun was growing up so beautifully, displaying wonderful independence and a budding personality.

he certainly was precocious. He seemed to be very perceptive to instructions and people's feelings...like there was a night when the munchkins were playing though the room was already dark. I barked, "Jun Jun, it's time to sleep!" and he promptly and meekly lied down to nurse.

he understood it when I wanted him to lift up his hands so I could take off his top. He could indicate what he wanted by gesturing and making funny cute noises. He was especially endearing for he liked to pat ah gong's arm and gaze adoringly at him when ah gong was driving

He was generally chirpy, though he did get whiny here and there. but he was generally an easygoing baby, always keen to partake in whatever his siblings were doing, seemingly quite cheeky too...like he would always go and attack the elder siblings when he woke up earlier than them

and he loved cats, dogs, birds, fishes, and playing with the steering wheel

One funny quirk: He did not fancy papa carrying him very much, but he definitely asked to be carried whenever papa carried the sleeping brother. Perhaps he was jealous? He definitely screeched loudly and lumbered into my laps whenever he spotted jie or kor in my arms.

He would saying and lie his head on his gor gor, it was particularly heartwarming to see him love tong tong

So, yes, December was busy. We did not even catch a single show in the mall! We were just visiting friends, having playdates, at indoor playgrounds all the time. Well, we had to pay for jun jun nowadays too, so yeah...it sure was expensive to raise 3 kids..but God had been good. God was and would always be very good. We always had enough. We were contented.

Tong loved to dress up in matching wear with his little minion. Ha...gotta buy more matching stuff from now on

Went to Tickle tickle with er yi. Spent a long time circling the place, pushing jun in this cute car. He simply enjoyed driving so much.

and little yan jie had grown up so quickly.

Met up with mama's RV friends, it did not feel like it was a very crowded gathering. There were only 7 of us, but with the spouses and kids, it sure looked lively and bustling in the photo!

had a date with jie at Centrepoint as we went for story telling. Papa brought tong for his first ever soccer match!

Christmas party at Marzuki. The two youngest ones were chomping on these salty seaweed...which was strangely addictive

while the adults milled around, chatting, watching TV...and in this case, exchanging stickers for the Macdonald's Monopoly game

It was arduous work to take this group photo. Missing Jayron who was having a fever.

Distribution of presents. The kids were the greatest gainers.

Always thankful to have these cousins-in-law. Papa's extended family was very close-knit.

The clueless jun jun who did not care much for presents but just soaking in the festive mood

Oh and tong won his first ever medal for soccer. Papa was prepping him for failure as he had seen the group make-up earlier and there were some weak team mates. By a quirk of fate, a really good player was transferred into his team and the other team did not have the full team with the assigned better players...so tong's team won.

The perceptive boy actually remarked that he knew he was not the best player and that his friend, Lele, in the other team was a better player but he did not win. Perhaps, he knew that God had been on his side?

mama told him that God put us at the right place and right time. And to continue to work hard, so he could be the good player in his team in future so he could help other weaker ones win a medal too!

He came back to Marzuki and the first person he yelled for was jie jie. He could not wait to share his victory with her. So while they might be loggerheads at time, I supposed your love for each other ran deeply and steadily.

cool shot taken by Uncle Jing kai.

At Suntec's Polliwogs with mama's RV friends - Aunt Yue, Fen, Biao...

It had a toddler area for Jun and he had a fantastic time there

The older ones found it fun here too, especially this water bed. The three would lounge there and spent quite some time there.

DBS held an event there and all the kids could play the ticketed Laser Beam light game for free! It would have cost $2.50 per entry and took less than a minute? I would never have spent money on that frivolous activity. How fortuitous that it was free for the two of you...In the end, you went for 20 plus times each? You spend almost the bulk of 4 hours there...and we actually spent 6.5 hours in Polliwogs, gosh...

On the bus to Vivo's Polliwogs to meet Aunt Wansun, Eritha and Melly.

Jun was having a whale of a time tinkering with the toys

jumping into the ball pit

Aunt Wansun took this photo of the dapper little one

the girls had a whale of a time together, it was like our annual ritual to come here to celebrate Christmas together...hmmm but yaya jie jie would be in Pri 4 next year...getting a tad too big for this?

Ah gong's birthday. We had already celebrated with a dinner and birthday cake at a restaurant on Tues with Xiaoshu and Patsy Yiyi. Tong was asleep during cake cutting so ah gong did not get a photo with his three little darlings.

Since we were at Vivo, we swung over for dinner as it was ah gong's actual birthday and he requested for a photo with all the
 grandkids

We wised ah gong good health and wealth, that he would enjoy many years of joy and bliss.

So...that pretty much wrapped up December. We went to a party with papa's colleagues last night, going to Uncle Huimin's house later....the kids unwrapped all the gifts...mama was totally drained from the season's festivities...

Well...another year had come and gone...toast to a brand new sparkling year with more awesome experiences awaiting us.
