while this was a happy shot of xun and jun, it was a dismal day for tong who went to the dentist for a root canal treatment. yeh...his tooth was so decayed that he had to undergo the operation...it was nasty...he was whiny and petulant after that...and the infection came a few days later AGAIN...all in all, a really worrisome and expensive experience...SIGH
on a Sunday, the blithe beautiful girl wore matching clothes with her bear and adorned herself with a sweet floral hairband and headed to church
yup we must take a photo with the balloons
after that, xun had a date to watch Disney on ice with papa!
aunt Anita bought her this magnificent dress, it was so gorgeous and different from the run of the mill Elsa dresses that most other little girls were wearing...
so mum and tong had a date. brought him to the Kallang Wave Mall's water play
we went to the supermarket and saw surprise eggs with Elsa and McQueen themes! Well...surprise eggs were always costly..but there was a promotion that day, 2 boxes for $10 when the usual price was $14!
oh wished she was in her purple outfit so we could capture a shot of her and her precious bear in matching wear. she reveled in wearing similar clothes with her baby, I supposed that was some kind of maternal instinct?
the cut of the dress was so flattering, it was awfully puffy at the bottom so it made her waist look really slender.
oh yup, xun and her bear. We bought this outfit from Amazon for a mere usd$10 with free shipping! The material was good and design was lovely, what a steal.
on the day of the real exam...jie was all dolled up
growing up far too fast for my liking..what? Primary school next year?
waiting quietly outside the exam room
all perk and dainty
all the best, baby
eh and the boy who photo bombed them
we had not run water in the tub for a long time, so the children were jubilant..made gigantic bubbles and wanted to show their daddy
except that daddy would be coming home late, so photos would do
at this photo spot for the umpteenth time...they never got tired of it
Her front two teeth fell out! while she felt sheepish about showing her friends, papa declared that she was the most beautiful toothless girl ever
On Good Friday, poor papa was away in India for a business trip and we went to Er yi's house
highlight of the day - Mainland Fish Farm
so rustic, so bucolic, you felt like you had stepped back in time...to the 1950s when kampongs were common
always enjoyed checking out the water features..heh
ooooo tanks and tanks of ornamental fish
the terrariums were so lovely
wai gong always helped with carrying the little ones when we went out...phew, mama could relax and breathe a little easier
things here seemed ancient...I had not seen such a weighing scale for ages...I wondered if they still used such scales in the wholesale or wet markets?
Longkang fishing!
$4 for half an hour...not as many fish as we saw in Bottle Tree Village...one could not wade in the river too, but the river was meandering and long...
so it was pleasant to hop up and down, in a bid to hunt down all the elusive fish
not too easy for the kids though
checked out all the daddies who were helping out
and seemed to be having a whale of a time
well...definitely an awesome bonding time
the other side was for feeding...san yi and I were just sauntering past these ponds and the fish all swarmed towards us, expecting food
wow...rickety rickshaw from another era
ha...the loot for the day
jie fell into the pond and got wet. She changed into the spare clothes we borrowed from You You. Eh..I thought she looked cute and sporty in them but she felt a tad shy...not in her usual princess-like outfit
feeding time...the kids totally had fun
yeah..i hoped jun jun had fun too
you you was so in love with xun...he insisted that xun take his car... ha.. well, it was really awesome to have extended families...I could envisage, public holidays would be spent with the sisters and their children...and all these cousins would grow up together...could not wait for the next public holiday!
