(Jan 19) Jie's birthday

Ha, one of the rare times when we went to school with Ah Gong to fetch Jie and Gor. Nowadays, Jun was lazy and would rather stay at home to read or play with his puzzles.

Celebration at Marzuki

Happy Blessed 9th Birthday, Xun Xun. Ha, the last year when your age would be a single digit. How fast time flew. I knew your Xiao Biaogu when she was about your age and she was now preparing for marriage. Please do not grow up so quickly!

It would be even merrier next year when Emmelyn was here.

Celebration at Panjang

Ha, eryi bought a really nice strawberry shortcake but the kids did not fancy it. I really liked it though. Ha, the cake looked like it was on fire. There were 7 candles on it, one candle for each child.

up to no good with Xiaoshu and Xiaoshen

The littlest one actually fell asleep during service. Ha

Oh my, he sure was a dashing boy.

Heh, paw patrol was still his favourite though he really liked Pikachu too.

Ah, the mad genius engrossed in his games...Jun could play on his own quite a bit. He would often make up song and mumble to himself...at 3 years old, his speech was not entirely intelligible yet...but he sure loved to be read to!

Ah ha. Mama bought these chairs from Ezbuy. Ha, they were not of as good quality as the existing ones, so I decided to keep the existing ones and add the new ones to the extended dining table so we could dine and do work together in the dining area.

Ah ha, assembled them all by myself. I hereby declared assembling simple furniture as one of my capabilities. hmmmm though ah gong checked the screws today and found them rather loose. Well...I really did my best and they were tight when I did it...it was lousy soft wood, perhaps the screws had shifted with us sitting on and shifting the chairs for a bit of time now

My imp tested the chair and wanted his cheeky face photos to be taken

I thought this really looked like gor gor...gosh

Ta da!

Oh as papa was not around to celebrate Jie's birthday, he sent her a bouquet of flowers. Giggles. turned out that jie did not fancy flowers very much, like mama...well...she would go for a soft toy anytime but our house was full of soft toys! NO MORE SOFT TOYS!

We went to eat at Suki Ya with Ah Gong on the actual day! Yum.

Playing a fool at the lifestyle shop Mini So at Hillion Mall.

Drama mama

Heh, the littlest one liked to be piggy-backed by her strong big jie . Yes, and you all loved to wear matching PJs.

Oh our very handsome Mr Chelsea. He chose this attire all by himself. Ha, even the shoes matched!

on a leisurely weekday afternoon...ahh...life in the tropics where the sun did not set till 730pm...

My 3 requests for 2019 - at this point, mama was in a state of bliss and peace. Well...I had experienced this peaceful feeling in 2016. 2017 was a rocky year. Things looked up in 2018 and ended well...what would 2019 bring? We prayed that life was on an upward trend, that even with its cyclical ups and downs, the downs were shorter!

Papa's scrawl...

Little Xun's!

Having cousins was one of the best gifts in the world

Ha saw Jie's ramblings in this Disney booklet she got from the gift from papa's colleague. Ha, I did not know that she was so thrilled to have a little sister...hmmm and that she was best at sports and loved soccer so much? Hahaha I wondered whom she was having a crush on at this point of time...hahahahha…

And a photo of tong with his P1 classmates..well he complained that the hours were too long compared to kindy...but he was generally cheerful when he woke up
in the morning...he was appointed as the monitor too. At first, I was rather puzzled by his words as he said there were all kinds of monitors (I supposed things like computer monitor, lights monitor and all sorts). Turned out that he was the class monitor and asked the class the greet the teacher. haha...So maybe he was somewhat outstanding? hahaha...

We thanked God for blessing our every day...and that 2019 would be a glorious Year of the Latter Rain of harvest and showers of blessings. Amen.

The last bit of 2018...

So we were thrown into a whirlwind of activities once we were back. First up - check up at Thomson. Heh...all was well. Mei mei was growing beautifully. heh mama tried to sign up for the Thomson membership and was amused that I had to indicate the number of pregnancy I was having...

Celebrated ah Gong's birthday on Dong Zhi, the day of reunion with family...

Jun attended Sunday school as he wanted to get a Christmas present from the church.

Went for longkang Fishing at Qian Hu Aquarium with Er Yi's family...

The funny dude who chuckled merrily whenever he was half naked and exclaimed that he was ah gong! Ha, we told him to do it when he was with Ah Gong and Ah Gong was so amused.

The littlest one got his own farecard and tag!

Celebrating Christmas at mama's friend's house

Yay Gift exchange

ooooo yummy log cake and jellies

Not content with meeting the cousins once for the entire school holiday, we invited our cousins to come over just before school reopened.

The two youngest ones played in the room while the older ones were engrossed in the PS4 games.

Party at San Yi's house. It was the eve of New Year. Oh my...one year had flown by...

Feasting

Gambling

Er Yi commented that she browsed through the photos we took on eves over the past few years and it seemed like mama was pregnant in many of the photos...oh my oh my...

Playing...check out the boys' matching tees

Yeah...but this would definitely be our last baby! well...I did not think I could go through yet another pregnancy...already, I did not feel as agile and efficient as I normally was, and definitely not as energetic as I was for the earlier pregnancies...

Er Yi bought this DIY colouring bag kit for Xun. We were stunned at how beautiful the colours turned out! It was as if they were printed on the bag!

The first sumptuous dinner for the new year.

I still could not believe that we actually finished 10 dishes!

First day of school! Our little Tong was all grown-up.

It seemed to go well for the first two days. On the third day, Tong lamented that school felt so long. It was such a long time before he could finally have recess. He missed his friends, the food and teachers at Arise. He did not seem to recall any of his friends' names... oh dear.. mama hoped that he would adapt to the new routine quickly...

Oh our jie was all eager and elated to go back to school

The good thing was mama heard that Tong tong got a really good teacher who could be strict but was greatly loved by her ex- students, especially the boys... hahah

I had to go to work as it was a Wed. Here was Tong on a call to me, telling me how the first day had gone. Aiyo, so unkempt. And he spilt milo on his pristine shirt. Faint.

While mama was at work, papa took the kids to the zoo! He had taken the day off and was flying to the UK the next day.

There was a new theme at the zoo so the kids had a blast.

It seemed like papa got through the day fine with the three rascals...heh...

So...yup...back to the grind of everyday life...rushing to sleep before 9 so that you would have ample rest...we hoped that the new year would be even more glorious! Mama just went for the Vision Sunday today and it was declared as the Year of the Latter Rain. It would be a year of harvest, showers of blessings and an intimate walk with God.
