(Nov 19) School hols!

On a mundane weekday evening...made special with a treat while walking home

The rotund, adorable little one beside Jie's peachy squishy soft toy

The littlest one grew two lower teeth!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth... my two front teeth...

Check out the pearly whites at the bottom

She tugged at our heartstrings with those doleful eyes and cheeky smiles

Jie was selected to go into the GEP! We could not believe that she could have made it...but she did! We were at Macdonald's at Bedok after the briefing.

Ma ma found a really nifty way to tie up jie jie's hair into a bun.

Attended the Achievers' Day, Jie came in second in class. Ha, interestingly, the top student did not get into GEP. I really wondered what did they test for in the entry tests.

Having fun at the photo booth.

Jie would miss her friends dearly.

Talked to Mr Seelan after school about her options. well...we decided to enrol Jie in Nanhua! We were considering Nanyang as it was a prestigious school but there were other considerations like travelling distance and the mix of students...we chose Nanhua in the end! Turned out that Jie could take 963 from our house to school and the driving distance was actually the shortest. We loved the Chinese culture and thought it would not be as competitive and stressful as the other more branded schools.

Staycation at Hilton Inn Hotel (Little India)

Got the "free" voucher from the Amex card (well, technically, we paid for the annual fee and this was one of the perks)

Lovely, sun-lit room that faced the Hindu temple.

Simple and classy decor

Lounging by the pool

All of us went to for a splash! Ha we stayed over on a Sun and drove out really early in the morning to bring the kids to school!

Mei was a big girl and could sit well in the high chair.

Ah Ma rewarded jie with a computer for her good results, ha Tong reaped some benefits too as he got to buy Beyblades (their favourite toys now, they battled every single day and they had some 20 over beys together)

So impish Jun asked for a photo too as he had to copy Tong in everything. Recently, he had been up to some mischief, throwing tantrums by screaming and provoking gor gor (he would taunt him by doing things that Tong did not like, for example, saying beyblade burst while being very close to Tong's face). Being the loud and easily irritated person that he was, Tong would lash out and get into trouble too. Ha...Tong had been rather strange recently. He would wake up in the middle of the night and weep and needed to sleep with daddy. He also did not dare to go out to the lit living room alone if everyone was in the room. He said that he had been having nightmares...

Mei fell sick with flu today (2 Dec, the night before her virgin flight to Taiwan). She would weep pitifully and could not cry loudly as her voice was hoarse. We prayed for Tong to be lion-hearted and Mei to recover speedily. Taiwan, here we come!
