This was the one Mama designed...
Ha, this was the one San Yi designed. San Yi was such a creative person. Alas...we had intended to hold a big celebration at NSRCC. Due to the Covid-19 situation, the government needed to use the bungalows as quarantine facilities...so we settled on having BBQ with close friends and family at Er Yi's condo.
San Yi won this bubble tea self-serve station giveaway in some IG contest. Hurray!
A simple yet beautiful dessert table!
Jun LOVED the cupcakes.
The star of the day - Mei and her favourite beverage, YUMS.
Changed into her birthday suit!
Got to take a photo to thank the sponsor.
Everyone loved bubble tea.
Tong put such a big scoop of pearls into his cup, gosh, it was half filled with pearls.
Cake-cutting time
Cake from Sweetest Moments.
I hope everyone had a jolly good time.
The hardworking people behind all the yummy food
Our littles one had turned one! How fast time flew.
She was most adorable. Some nights, she would crawl to Papa when he popped by the room to say good night and indicate that she wanted to go gai gai with Papa.
She understood her body very well. If she was tired, she would whine and point towards the bedroom door to ask Papa to bring her to bed. Once, Papa was already out of the house but she kept whimpering so Papa brought her back and she really fell asleep soon after.
Check out the impish grin...Ah she now had 6 teeth!
Her hair would be really messy when she woke up in the morning. Having a thick mob of hair, she also had that salty smell like big gege...hahah
Tried going around the neighbourhood in the pram, and she was ok with it most of the time.
Wai Po said we had to instill the habit of letting her wear shoes when we went out as she was now able to walk! Just a few days shy of her birthday, Mei mei took her first tottering steps in Wai Po's house.
Ah...she had sweaty feet like mama...poof...that salty smell in her shoes...gosh... and she was rather unladylike in the pram...ah....having unglamorous poses just like her jie jie...
Our little unicorn had a strong mind of her own. She refused to wear the unicorn hairband. Jie was way more obliging when she was this age.
Now you see it, next you don't!
Aunt Tin bought her a toy! Ha, she did look like the hamster, didn't she?
Calm and happy in the car seat...for a grand total of a few minutes for us to take this photo...and she had not been sitting much in the car seat then...sigh...
Happy Birthday, Mei Mei. We thank you for coming into our lives and we want to let you know that we love you to the moon and back. May you grow up to be the light and salt of the world. May God's goodness and mercy be so evident in your life. May your life be filled with peace and joy. May you be a shining testimony of God's grace and love.
