Mummy's prayer for both of you...that you shall be taught by the Lord personally...
Love you both to bits.

(30 May) funlearnshare experience

Xun, mummy just brought you to this Chinese enrichment centre called fun.learn.share opened by two celebrities (Charlyn Lin and Pornsak) for a trial class. I sneaked away while the teacher led you to the other class. I was very worried that you would melt down...to my delight, you were happily dancing and singing away with teacher Charlyn when I came back 1.5 hour. I know you are ready for drop-off classes finally...

Since I don't have funlearnshare photos, I have to put random photos of you then...(At Dempsey)You and your cute little pony tail
the teacher commented that you showed a little anxiety when I did not appeared for quite a while. You asked her where I was and she said I was with didi and he was drinking water. After awhile, you asked again and she repeated and you commented didi was taking a tad too long. She distracted you and you did not cry and started having fun. Heh...you showed signs of anxiety though, you were clawing the table. Mummy notices that too, you always have some funny little actions when you are anxious...

She said you had leadership qualities. She taught you the watermelon craft and you instructed her to do a task while you focused on another. I laughed and said you are a tad BOSSY. She said you did not like to do tasks you found challenging, like you said the paper plate's edge was bumpy and you did not know how to colour it, she encouraged you and you did well. Overall, she found you a confident, cheerful, self-directed keen learner....that you are very mature for your age, you understand a lot of concepts, like sharing, teamwork...
You say you want two pony tails like Milly in team umizoomi
You said you had fun and wanted to come bk...but then back at home, I asked again and you said you wanted to stay at home with tong tong and me...orrr...you know I really love you...I cherish the days when you love my company and think the world of me...

It cost $65 for 1.5 hours..i find it costly but I know papa will say any money is worthwhile so long you have fun...well, actually I suppose we could speak more mandarin at home and you will have no problem with the language...heh...

I love you, sweetheart. lots and lots.

(26 May) Amusing musings

Recently, Daddy was changing Xun's clothes and you said it was a shirt-skirt (it was a top with some frills at the base). Daddy was amazed and asked if I taught you that term. I replied no....You giggled and told Daddy, " I am so clever. I know everything." Hahahahha...you are sooooo funny...

Xun: I love your rosy and chubby cheeks. Tong is rather petite compared to you...you are just so gangly...

The two of you always fall asleep in the car...ha...

You were tickled when I showed you this photo...

Such sweet sweet sleep...

Xun, you love watching cartoons. Mummy finds Kai-Lan particularly educational. It taught you ways to deal with problems, for ex when a friend gets frustrated when things don't go his way, they sang a song "when you are feeling mad, the first thing you do, is calm...calm...down", plus did some side to side swaying exercise. Another time, it taught you to draw a picture or write a card to the person whom you miss..So one night, we forgot to bring your milk bottle home and you were really upset...
So daddy taught you to draw a card for the bottle...You came in excitedly to tell me about it and showed me the drawing...heh heh...I told daddy how proud I AM of you and how you are very resilient and very capable of managing your emotions...you hardly throw tantrums, you are very teachable, you have great reasoning...you have an awesome sense of humour...Wai Po says you are way too mature for your age. Most importantly, you have such a great sense of Jesus' presence in your life..whenever something happens, you will always ask me to pray...like you are sick with fever...and we pray Jesus has healed you...like when the TV shows were being disrupted due to transmission signals, when they came back, you gushed how Jesus had repaired the TV so quickly...you are going to be such a warrior for His kingdom...

Daddy lost the original pic. I asked him to draw again so we could capture it for eternity : )

My handsome little tong tong
You are mummy's little sweetheart...wai po likes you to cut the crew hair cut coz she thinks you look more manly in it. laugh...you are such a little charmer, all the old and young women are smitten by you. Just now in the car, you were talking and chuckling to yourself the entire time...I wondered what you were talking about...you love to make this funny snoring sound...heh...whenever you want to sleep, you will whine "orr orr" and want to suckle. You have this funny habit, you like to start nursing in the living room for a while, then I can carry you to the bedroom...sometimes you will still struggle for you really love hanging outside to play with daddy and jie jie...you seem so unwilling to go to bed even though you are clearly tired...
I used to just bring one bottle out for two of you to share...But you were always fighting, so I finally bought two..ha

You love to cuddle up to me...you are a very feely person, when we sleep, you must always be in contact with me..I love your super warm body and sweet breath...I love you nestling under my armpit as you suckle to sleep...I love to cuddle your rotund body...I wish you would always remain so cuddly and adorable...orrrrr...I can't imagine the sullen teenage years...oh wait...mayb you and jie will nev experience that for God Himself will teach you and we need not comply to the world's norm! I shall pray for that everyday!

My hunk my hunk...
This video documented how agile and athletic you are...I told papa I am preparing you for military training...I always let you climb and crawl around the playground when you were little...I taught you how to do backside down from a higher place and I trust you will be able to get around so I leave you to your own devices...well...one ah ma who frequents the playground has told wai po's neighbour about it, insinuating I seem to be a "careless" mum...Wai po's neighbour retorts that because you are allowed to roam, you have started walking at 11.5 months! ha..indeed, I have the same philosophy as Wai Po. She always let you attempt stunts, like jumping from the sofa to the mattress. She says she knows you are actually very cautious, and the more protective we are, the less guarded you are. But when you are left to fend and take care of yourself, you show higher awareness and will be careful...Reasoning is not of what the world commonly endorses..but heh...wai po is an amazingly wise woman...and we are not of the world too : ) we are Jesus' children...we are the light of the world, salt of the earth...

Mummy loves the two of you to bits. Daddy is rather good at taking care of the two of you alone now! On sats when I work, he will bring the two of you to go and swim and he can fetch you to ah ma's house! That leaves a precious sat morning for mummy to go for facials and massages. What a luxury...yeh...and he has been coming up with really interesting ideas for outings, like he took us to West Coast Park and he plans to bring us to Turf City for the pasarbella market! Recently, he gushed on Facebook (I wonder if you will know FB in your era) how grateful he is to me for sacrificing my career to take care of you. He says he sees the benefit and the two of you are growing up beautifully!

Know that any kind of sacrifice is worthwhile..because..you put a smile on my face and a spring in my steps..you put a tune in my heart and joy in my soul...Love lots.

(23 May) Hokey Pokey with Auntie A and KK

So, daddy took leave and he said he would give you a surprise later! You were all keyed up : ) We had lunch and sauntered to the surprise...where you saw Auntie A and KK, then the entrance to Hokey Pokey! The staff was really nice, I forgot to redeem the two free passes during your birthday months (it was renovating then and I forgot about it) and he allowed us to redeem them. The new Hokey Pokey still had all the things that you and Tong love...

Tong with his fav cars...

Orr, say cheese with your fav auntie A

He is one cool bike rider

You were always reluctant to leave. Tonight, I just told you the story in the dark about our trip to Hokey Pokey. I know...we would definitely go again, my little sweetheart.

Night...sweethearts.

(22 May) splashing at Lot 1 Water play area

So, the two of you woke up rather late today and we did not go for the Orange building sch lesson. The cleaning auntie is such a nice lady, she cooked fried rice with bak kwa for us! Both you and Tong enjoyed the yummy dish. We nuahed for a long time in front of the TV, then took a long nap and woke up at 4ish...Then, I said I had got a surprise for you, we were going to Lot 1 and you asked if we were going to the water play area. Ha...Later on, I asked how did you know, you said it was because we went there the other time too.

Both of you were sooo thrilled. I love this place too, it is free and usually  not crowded. After water play, we could also play at the sheltered playground.

I love the look of excitement on your face. You are one cheeky bom bom.

Tong was crawling around when we first came here. He has grown so quickly!

It says, "100% cheeky". Yeh it definitely describes you.

I told you to jump. You jumped a few times for this shot.

I am one handsome dude.

Xun, you love to sit on top of the hole where water splashes out.

What a beautifullllll evening.
we played at the playground and you approached two jie jies to play "catching the soft toy" with them and was rejected. Orrrr...I gave you a small ball and asked you to play with a peer. In the end, the jie jies wanted to join you but you rejected them!

Of late, you have been getting a little rude and tyrannical, often shouting "no" vehemently when we suggest things which are not palatable to you. HMPH. Didi used to not like daddy to carry him, but now he is quite chummy with daddy and will lay his head on his shoulder on he carries him. So, I tease daddy that he used to love you more, but as you are getting a tad naughty, and tong is so endearing now, he loves tong tong more. To which, of course, he always says, he loves both of you equally...ha...

I read on FB today that processed food causes cancer...Well...you and tong tong love processed food. Erm, me too. We love bak kwa, hot dogs, salty biscuits, crab sticks, cuttlefish...well...it is so comforting to know that we have a Good God and that we need not live in fear as God will protect us and give us divine health. Brrr, only God can help us, we have such a terrible diet. Sometimes, you hardly eat anything, you seem to survive on air but you are rather big for your age. Tong, on the other hand, eats anything and everything, but is still quite small. laugh.

Oh, Aunt Wee Ding says you speak beautifully and she loves your accent. Many of our friends who have met you say you speak with such a strong accent. ha... we say it is because you watch too many Nick Junior, you really love the shows soooo much. Aunt Wee Ding praises that you are an independent little girl. You know that mummy loves you? Sometimes, you hold my face in your hands and ask me if I love you. I say I do. Even when you do naughty things, I still love you. Just like Jesus.

Tong, you are growing up so rapidly. You love cats and birds and yellow cars. You love people to throw you high up into the air. You are picking up so many skills and showing such fierce independence. You know how to throw the diapers into the bin...you know how to clean up after playing. Mummy loves carrying you coz you are rather rotund. You used to bite the tag on your yaya and it stunk. Now your teeth have mostly grown out, you stop biting the tag. You have grown even more attached to yaya, but it smells sweet with your saliva, just like jie jie's bear. Sigh..where shall we find another MIT duck? All Uncle Wenxian's fault for buying it for jie jie. laugh. She did not take to it but you love it to bits.

Mummy prays that you will grow up to be warriors for God's kingdom, that you will be like the trees planted by the rivers of water, not seeing droughts when they come, but know His goodness and mercies all the days of your lives...that you would be taught by the Lord and great shall be your peace. Love u sweethearts, amen.

Random stuff

Random photos...
The superhero
Tong in raincoat. The superhero is here to save. We always watch "Wonder Pets" and I modify the song to be "Wonder tong wonder tong, he is on his way, to save his jie jie and save the day. He's not too big and he's not too tough, but he has got Jesus, he's got the right stuff. Go, wonder tong!"
 Fooling ard in the car
Just fooling ard in the car. Xun, you love to make up songs. In the cartoon "Ni Hao Kai Lan", she always sings a tune to convey the moral of the story...for example "when you are not feeling special, there is something you can do, just remember what is super...special... about you!" So we change this tune all the time to suit our stories...you are getting a tad naughty  nowadays and your "why why why" and "no no no" are incessant. Mummy sings, "when you want do something naughty, the first thing you can do, is to ask Jesus for help!"...heh...daddy says he wonders where you get all that creative tale-spinning, song-making-up genes from...I wonder too...
 The grimy little tong
Tong and his morose look again. Aunt Melly loves to take photos of Tong's messy face.

Orrr.....finally the little tyrant is aslp..how I love to chomp on those fat chubby rosy cheeks
Looking for that little fluffy flower...hmmm

You love plucking the fluffy flowers and blowing them. I taught you that you were helping them to fly elsewhere to grow.
