(13 May) Playdate with the BP kids

So, I join a FB group of Bukit Panjang mummies with young pre-schoolers. For some reason, your daddy thinks it is somewhat hilarious. Well, I got lotsa interesting nuggets of information and trivia from this group of friends. You know, you don't have to know them personally, yet you feel a sense of community and camaraderie, by the sheer fact that we are all mothers.

So on 13 May, we went to attend a play date led by Mummy Shahida. The theme was on transportation and we learnt about traffic lights, construction vehicles, sang many songs, played with the sand, bubbles, water and at the playground.

Both of you thoroughly enjoyed it, though maybe the most fun part was simply playing at the playground. Xun, you were chasing Jaysen and being the bossy one as usual, instructing him to follow whatever you wanted to do. *laugh*

Tong, mummy does not know if you absorb any of the knowledge, you were merrily scooping beans at one corner and then playing with the toys alone. You started crawling at 7(?), 8(?) (memory is failing me) months and since then I taught you how to climb down from a higher place by going on your belly (I call it "backside down"). Am really proud of you that you can play on your own safely at playgrounds as you could "backside down" slides and stairs alone. Mummy Sha was a tad nervous and worried when she first saw you attempting the slide and stairs, you showed her it was a breeze to you.

Xun, you said you wanted to go to the play date again. You had so much fun learning and playing with friends. I asked if you were keen to attend school and you answered vehemently "no". Oh well...my little sweetheart, I shall keep you  with me for as long as I can. One day, you may become the sullen teenager who thinks I am always nagging you. Hmmm, with God's grace, I hope not : ), I want to be the cool, wise and funny mum whom you always look up to. Amen.
