Ah ha, so we went to "Hello Lin!" and we thought "Hello Yasmin" would just be the English adaption of that Chinese show. To our delight, it was a totally new show. It was really crowded that day though it was a weekday! Many students from a few preschools were there too. We met Auntie A and Kay and found a spot and settled down.
Iridescent light on the floor...oooo
Anticipating eagerly for the show to start...
Kay was wearing the denim dress we gave her for her birthday! She was growing up to be such a sweet lady.
The show started! There was a blithe song...the triangles showed a beautiful lush meadow..
This was Yasmin's grand-dad. He brought a special pot of flower to surprise Yasmin. However, Yasmin thought it was garbage and threw it away. To make up for it, Yasmin had to grow new plants!
Yasmin taught the children that plants needed seeds, soil, water and sunlight for them to thrive.
A kooky addition of a loony rabbit who was always up to no good, like stealing Yasmin's seeds...
And moving an enormous egg around...ha... it was funny...and rather meaningless but I suppose kids like such goofy stuff...
Oh, so the kids were asked to help put soil into the gigantic pots. The brown blocks of soil were scattered all around, the kids made a mad scamper for them. Xun picked up two and tong did not have any. The sweet jie jie gave tong a block when she saw him whimpering.

The children did a sun dance to ask Mr Sun to shine his radiance on the seeds...
There was a rain dance...
Yasmin lamented why the seeds did not grow even though all the conditions were met. She learnt that seeds took time to grow...
Ah, the seeds sprouted! Xun, you reminded me how our plants died and that maybe we should grow cactus this time as I told you at Gardens by the Bay that cactus were easier to grow as they did not need as much care : ) you always had the memory of an elephant. Just today (23 Mar 14), we went to River Safari with ah gong and ah ma. You took the river ride with daddy and saw flamingoes. You told papa you recalled that I told you flamingoes had pink plumage because they ate pink food : )
Kay kay and Auntie A ...kay was rather scared of Yasmin's grandpa, the rabbit and the chick that popped out from the egg. She only liked Yasmin. ha.
The huge egg hatched and we saw a really cute chick. Not too sure why they added this segment...perhaps to teach about life cycle? It was rather amusing nonetheless. We started having science lessons with Teacher Sha. You asked really deep questions, you were not satisfied with just knowing facts and information. Teacher Sha taught you that your lungs expanded when the diaphragm was extended and lungs contracted when the diaphragm compressed. You asked WHY it happened. She just reiterated the fact. Ha...I then explained about volume of air causing all these...We thought you exhibited great curiosity and deep thought for you were not satisfied with merely knowledge but you delved into the WHY...that was good, very good.
We loved the exhibits hanging from the ceilings outside the recital hall. The designs were always different and so very fascinating.
Headed for lunch with Auntie A's mum, Avery, Auntie Pong and Caylum. After that, Auntie Pong and we went to the Marina Sq's playground.
A nice quiet playground on weekdays when all the kids were at school. mama really relished having weekdays with you. You and tong would be starting school next year and I felt really sad for we were having such a whale of a time exploring new places, going to playgrounds...
You were very into "frozen" characters now, esp Queen Elsa. The DVD was out and your dutiful papa wanted to hunt down one for you.
Tong was growing up so rapidly. He could speak long sentences though the words were not easily decipherable all the time. Ha...Recently, he decided to toilet train himself! We had been reading the potty book and he always expressed discomfort when he peed in his diapers. When mama asked if he would like to use the potty, he always said cheekily, "next time!" We bought him a pack of thomas train underwear from Australia. One day, he said that he wanted to wear them and mama reminded him that he could not wet them and had to use the potty. He agreed and went to wai po's house and used the potty for the entire day! ha... but on another day, he pooped in his underwear at wai po's house. Wai po was dissed...hahaha...
An extremely packed day. After napping, we took a bus, a duper long journey which took more than an hour...to Vivocity to meet mama's ex colleagues.
We had a delectable dinner at Waruku. The food was reasonably priced, of big portions and they even gave free toys to the kids. It was a most pleasant experience. After dinner, we went to play in the water area just outside Waruku.
Aunt Wan sun was so cute. She brought along a plastic bag to act as a pail. So the three of you took turns to fill up the bag and water the plants...
Very windy, what a delightful way to spend the evening...
With the beautiful Auntie Wansun...who always had creative ideas...
mama had told you earlier that strangers could not touch your private parts. So when auntie wan sun tried to change you, you told her that mama said strangers could not touch you. I praised you for being alert, mama wanted you to have the fortitude to say no to things you felt were infringing on your morals when you were older...that when you grew up, you would always trust that instinctive voice in your heart and would have the courage to say no and walk away...
We had ice cream after that and were most contented. An amazing day!
