San Yi's poolside wedding at Mandarin Oriental Hotel

A very very belated post. So, san yi got married, like FINALLY, she had been yearning to get married for the longest time...she always pretended to say bye bye to Wai Po when San yi zhang had to go home and the day when this would come true finally came!

San Yi was the ever meticulous and fanciful one, she loved all these frilly and crafty stuff...she made most of these stuff on her own!

She loved Rilakkuma and had cupboards full of these cushies...

Ah, papa would say this was the GOOD LOOKING family...xun was the little flower girl, her second attempt after the rather funny one at Uncle Erwin's where she sprinted down the aisle. Since she had turned 3...we thought she probably would not be so scaredy-cat this time...

The yet to be pregnant Er yi...hmmm or was she in the initial stage?

mama's personal favourite as I thought the photographer had caught me in a flattering angle...I did not think I was the photogenic sort...so...yeh...

oh the gorgeous bride...all dressed in white...

papa was the emcee, ooo a rather dashing emcee...

It was a success! Xun xun did an awesome job, all pretty and dainty in the frolicsome pink gown...

The venue was really gorgeous, flowing curtains, beautiful floral arrangements...

The moment when they pledged a lifetime of commitment to each other...

'
Champagne pouring time..apparently it symbolised ever lasting love...I supposed maybe the analogy came from an evergreen flowing river...

Ha, our signature SISTERS' nonsensical shots. Erm...that day bei kor po asked if mama was gonna haf a third child. I proclaimed that no one wanted to take care of the third child. They volunteered ah ma, who displayed a shocked look when told. Erm...4th kor por and bei kor por conveniently just stated someone would surely look after the child when he/she was born but...they excused themselves from the task..hahaha....

San yi said this photo was hilarious, mama looked like she was boxing the surly xun who was excluded from the action...

I loved this photo...wai po was the traditional parent who was always stern and distant...but...she truly truly loved us...

the boys and the bride..it was amazing how we had watched san yi and san yi zhang over a 10-year relationship..and san yi zhang was literally like a little bro to mummy...in our household, we all had long enduring courtships before mebarking on marriage...er yi zhang and san yi zhang were their spouses' first love even!

mama prayed that  you and tong would find that special person and dedicate your entire to making the relationship work. Marriage IS very tough, it is a union of two imperfect people. There will be many times when you will doubt if you have married the wrong person...but true love is not a fleeting, heady sensation that the hollywood portrays...it is enduring.. it is a deliberate effort and a choice. LOVE is an action word, not a feeling...

And so the fairy tales went, "and they lived happily ever after..." well if only they were more truthful...the wedding was only the beginning....of a purgatory on earth or...potentially...with Jesus' help..heaven on earth...

And mama prayed...you will taste heaven on earth...that papa and mama had...not all the time...but we had glimpses of it and we knew Jesus would only bring the marriage from glory to glory. AMEN.
