(Nov 14) Going to Grandstand and the trampoline park

The Grandstand

The weather had been unbearably hot recently...on a sweltering and humid Sunday, we headed to the Turf City for lunch, it was a choice between Slappy Cakes and Treehouse...Tong chose Treehouse and the ever accommodating jie jie agreed when we saw how crowded Slappy cakes was.

Went to Treehouse and it was full too. The entire place was a hive of activity. Mama was used to the quiet and deserted weekday scene and was shocked to find that Turf City was actually very crowded on weekends...

we went for a simple lunch at Eat and headed to the ice cream parlour...phew, good thing it was not too packed...

The two of you found some blocks and tong constructed a train and started sprawling everywhere, admiring his handiwork...eh..the two of you had this eccentric habit of lying down just about everywhere...eh...papap commented it was learned from wai po...ah?

You made two castles and displayed them proudly for the photo. Initially, you made one and had to leave it inside when you came out of the gated area for ice cream. When you went back, another gor gor had taken it...so you hovered around, used other blocks, patiently waiting for the rest to abandon playing with them...then constructed these two beauties...

a small boy came and wanted to play with tong's train and you held on to it, declaring that tong was playing with it.

another mei mei came and wanted the big castle and you held on to it tightly and offered her the small one. Yes, mama was comforted that you seemed more confident of voicing your opinions and not let others take away your things without permission. ha, for the whole duration, you always placed your hand on the blocks while looking for new blocks o prevent others from taking away your stuff. However, I also told you that you should share as the toys was for all to play.

Mama hoped the two of you would have high EQ and come up with solutions when you met obstacles...

Trampoline park at Jurong YoHa

A last minute arrangement, auntie A said we should go to the park before the school holiday started...so after horsing around at home while waiting for the cleaning auntie to come, we set off on our journey...

ah, mama's chiseled chin was back. xun had lost some weight and her face was sharp again while tong put on a little and had chubby cheeks.hahah

Yay, we loved this energetic and fun exercise...

The foam pool was especially fun...and extremely hard to get out of...

kay was thrilled to see xun and tong..and she could speak so much now, just like the very talkative tong who was always butting into my conversations with jie jie...mama thought she sounded like a cute cartoon character due to her high pitched voice. auntie a was dismayed that kay kay was speaking singlish as her ah ma and papa always used singlish. ha

The smaller ones loved to follow xun xun jie jie, who was in an unsociable mood and ran around, trying to escape from them....

wanting to find a quiet corner to do her own jumping...jie said she did a swan jump...like a ballet move..hmmm

little avery...gosh, could you believe that 1 year had passed? We saw her when she was a tiny baby and now she could walk? THat meant we had not met up with Auntie A for ages! Where did the time go? Who stole all the time!

Caylum and Auntie Pong came too...he was so cherubic looking and always had a toothy grin...

the mums taking a break...yay...finally we could have snippets of conversations while the kids busied themselves...hurray for growing up...

Tong went for a water break and adorable little kay kay waited at the steps..

and jie jie climbed to the top to escape from the tiny ones.

and tong clambered up too...only to laze on it...

We had a feisty foam cube fight! Caylum was chuckling away when mama threw blocks at him.

Oh tong wanted water desperately...yes, the workout was indeed exhausting...

What a great time. We must meet up with Auntie A and pong soon!
