Would you believe that we went to a wedding dinner right after the family photoshoot? Sometimes, the level of energy our family had amazed me...ahahha we were energetic people, who were always on the go...well...papa and mama prided ourselves on being very efficient people..yet who knew how to enjoy life by indulging in play, siestas, long strolls on the beaches...and to slow down...paradoxical? Yup, I think so...
As usual, xun could not keep her hands off the flower display...
On another day when we went to the library..the babies fell asleep in the pram! Mondays were always the recuperating days after the hectic weekends... tong wanted to swop seats with jie. Jie fell asleep leaning forward, as she always did when sitting at the back. mama devised a tiny head hammock for her using the breastfeeding scarf one day when we were out and not nearing home yet...so ingenious! mama always said I was the handy man in the house...
tong was not used to leaning forward to sleep..ha...but he finally found a comfy position...
On some other day, we went to Sports Hub as papa was having a meeting there...we even brought the scooters...
What a beautiful skyline we had...well...mama got adept at using those photo editing apps on her iphone..ah ha...not too bad eh?
Dinner at a jap restaurant, one of our favourite foods...we could have just sushi for dinner...
Then explored the place and found a gigantic yakult bottle...talking about bottles, we had been into recycling nowadays...mama was a little aghast at the amount we could recycle each day, which meant we had thrown away a lot of recyclable stuff in the past...felt so terrible for not having done our bit for the environment earlier...
The optimistic papa said, "better late than never!" yes, it did teach the two of you to be environmentally conscious, even tong would ask mama to wash the milk carton when he finished it so he could recycle it.
ON another day, we went to watch a show "hop and honk" at the national library. had planned to take the bus but asked ah gong abt fetching us back and ah gong sped down to send us there...orrrrrr...yup, so when ah gong was old and needed chauffeuring around, you two got to repay this debt.
Really enjoyable play...almost 2 hours..it was a wonder that tong could sit through it..but it was delightful and funny, we liked the silly part of how the mama duck pulled down the heron's pants so that the frog could escape...and the story had a different ending, the frog prince did not want to marry the haughty princess and she ended up marrying one of the weasels (the wily weasels and their barmy behaviour were really entertaining) and the frog prince remained a frog and got together with the swan! ha...what a twist...
On other days, we would scooter to junction 10 to eat japanese food at the food court. It was saddening to know that the food court would close soon, business was simply lacklustre.
well...maybe there would be new hippy food joint coming soon, one that we would like too...when all the construction for the downtown line was over, it would be so easy for us to get to far flung places...then it would be easier for us to explore singapore! oh wait...but you were going to school soon. sobs...had been talking to the two of you about it for a year and you seemed to be accepting it...oh well, there would always be the school hols!
heh...and christmas was coming, could not wait to catch all the free shows at the malls again.
