(1 Jan 2015 Thurs) Celebrating New Year's Day with the cousins

On this first day of a brand new year, we dated our cousins for a date at Marina Barrage!

Balmy weather, cloudy but not rainy, so we prayed that Jesus would hold this weather up...

Brought lotsa things to play, the Elsa spinning doll, scooters, kites, Little Ponies Dolls, bubbles and lots of food to snack on

Our $2 Daiso kite went up into the sky effortlessly, it was really windy and pleasant...such a carefree feeling...

Alas, it rained...so we took shelter under the structure, where you kids ran around, caught bubbles and scooted...

and played with Elsa the spinning doll... the rain seemed to have stopped, so we went to FEO Garden...

Ah...finally all the cousins could stand still enough for a few moments for a group photo...

mama took them on an obstacle course, encircling the entire area behind the water play area to go to the sand pit...*embarrassed look*

They played for a little while at the sand pit and decided it was more fun to play at the water play area...

so for close to 2 hours, they were frisking here, with plastic bags (ha, we learnt this from Aunt Wan sun), they were jauntily collecting water and pouring on others...Max especially, he would sneak up on others and poured on the unwitting victims...

Tong went into his "nothing" box for quite an extended period of time. While mama chit chatted with Aunt Valerine, we observed him going into the retreat mode several times...

Tong was stoning away...

Papa tried to snap tong out of his reverie by splashing water on him

Tong snapped to JJ to go to use another one, he was one feisty baby

Ha, Max was going to prank on Tong but he backed out sheepishly at the last moment, after noticing Aunt Val and me looking at him, pouring water over tong's backside instead. ha.

ha, the two boys collecting water together...

The girls were having a whale of a time together, totally inseparable..

We went to Satay by the Bay to eat...oh it was a lot of food

ha Aunt Lindy posted the photo in the "cousins" chatgroup and Aunt Candice asked how come there was a feast, oppps.....ha we never invited her to the "little cousins' playdate"

A prehistoric park just beside the food centre...

ha, mama made them shout "Cousins Forever!"

Then JJ and Kaysen said they wanted to go back to Marin Barrage to fly kites as they came late and missed the session...

My very good looking tong tong...just savouring the wind caressing his face...

Aunt Sheena bought a $60 kite from the shop below...

We saw a really scary and majestic Octupus kite, it even had suckers on its arms...oooo... cost $300 we heard...

looked like that harrowing soul-sucking thing in Harry Potter books.

The kids fought over the use of scooters, maybe we could give the triplets scooters for Christmas this year?

The triplets in action...

What a fabulous day, what an awesome start to a new year...what a blessing to have cousins... in fact we were gonna meet them very often, next Sun for the birthday party, Legoland with JJ, Chinese New Year, Kelong with triplets and JJ...

How great it was to have cousins... thank God for cousins, the stuff of childhood memories.
