(9 Jun 16 Thursday) Natural history museum and shows at Plaza

Mama had been really tardy in blogging recently. We had suffered a severe bout of flu and I was really badly hit...oh...so...we stayed at home more than we had wished for, nursing aching bodies and drippy noses... well, june hols was over and it was back to our usual routines of going to school again.... time to update the posts.

We went to the Natural History Museum at NUS with Aunt Amelia and her sons

the wall murals were fascinating

the souvenir shop was awesome, they had some really nifty toys and trinkets

even had a corner where there were huge plush toys...ha

xun asked me to take a photo of the map so that we would not get lost

oooo the pungent Rafflesia flower

tried out some interactive panels...

there were really a gargantuan amount of displays...ranging from floral and fauna

to the breath-taking fossils of the dinosaurs..it was so long that I could not capture all in one normal shot

to marine creatures...xun giggled that this must have made me think of seafood!

to insects

homo sapiens vs orang utan

there were really lots to see, but it was not too friendly for little tykes. we were out in an hour, had snacks at the sky garden..and ah gong came to pick us!

went to Plaza and we caught some really amusing acts. There were the acrobats

well, some acts seemed simple..but ...haha...I supposed the stunts looked so effortless as they put in such hard work

well, there were not many people, we could enjoy this in the cool of the mall

another act...he was hilarious, juggling balls,

engaging the audience...with not a peep of words, using merely gestures!

this tall unicycle was cool...a jaw-dropping moment when he somehow sprang into the air and hopped on!

well, we went to waipo's house and had dinner. Xun wanted to catch even more shows in the evening and she had a date with wai po while the rest of us stayed at wai po's house. Well, we certainly looked forward to the Dec holidays when we could catch even more shows!
