Summary of day 1:
It was great to travel with Da Biao Gu. She would put up these collages that offered a glimpse into the most exciting events that happened in the day on FB every night. Ha, we were outnumbered by the kids. 4 families - 8 adults and 10 children. Everyone whom I talked to about the trip was shocked and expressed their admiration for our daring venture. ha
Legend Hotel. Really charming and pleasant. There was an X-box console at the lobby, the walls were painted with cute and whimsical pictures...all the rooms had unique murals!
The gorgeous MRT station, whose Chinese name meant "Beautiful Island"
Dream Mall! A really expensive and quiet mall. We had to buy tickets for each ride, so we restricted the kids to 3 rides each.
All of us went up the carousel. The Taiwanese seemed to have a penchant for building carousels on top of buildings.
Liuhe Night Market. The popcorn chicken was soooo scrumptious. The prawns and lobsters looked delicious but were really ordinary and not worth the money.
Found only one game stall but the kids had a whale of a time. Even Jun was able to play it and played so well that we called him the ace shooter of the night. Everyone got to choose a toy! Hurray!

More photos:
Our very first bubble tea stop. It was so yummy and cheap, S$2 for a huge cup of melon tea with pearls? It was so refreshing and the pearls were chewy. Yum yum.
They made a ruckus everywhere they went. It was chaotic to travel with 10 kids.
The girls went to shop at H&M and insisted on buying matching tops and tights (which were way too loose)...ha
Our enchanting room
It was like we were in a magical land
