1H2024 - Meetup with RV girls, Play@ Keat Hong CC Water Playground, Random Photos

Friends since 12 years old? Gosh...3 decades of friendship

We drifted apart for awhile when we went to different classes in Sec 3, then subsequently JC, Uni and when we started our working lives.

Aunt Xiyue and I reconnected when we became mums. She still had this photo of our first meetup when the girls were about one year old.

Well, I wanted to say that I thought we were ageing beautifully and growing ever more glorious as we aged...ah...ageing like fine wine

Our smart-looking little lifesaver

Heh the uniform was too big. Mama asked T Vanan if he could have a smaller size but they had already given him the smallest one. Ah Gong and Ah Ma got him to go to the tailor's for it to be altered.

Happy Mother's Day!

I always told you children that you were one of the best gifts from God.

My team was having a team bonding session and we were to send two photos of unique items that we owned. Well.. I thought of taking a photo of my Van Cleef Arpels earrings, or my cupboard of red Ferragamo shoe boxes...hahaha...or the classic Chanel bag...but showing off wealth would be a little crass? Heh, so I showed them my most precious and oldest possession...JIJI! erm...she must be some 37 or 38 years old at this time? GOSH. older than some of my colleagues...perhaps MOST OF THEM

And they were really amazed to see that I owned a water dispenser..haha

Yes we finally found a water playground! Heh

Mei told me to take photos of her to send to her Chinese teacher as they were learning about playgrounds...we used to go to all the different water playgrounds but they had all been closed due to COVID and never reopened...

So...yeah, glad we found this little water playground next to Keat Hong CC

Ah..waiting outside the cinema for Papa to come and join us. We were going to use the movie tickets that Aunt Shuping gifted us to watch Garfield!

Well, Tong would lie down everywhere

AI technology was amazing...one could even try on clothes virtually...

I sent these two photos to Er Yi et al and they commented that the blue dress looked nicer on me. Heh, this reminded me that we were supposed to go for this colour testing experience...ha...

Waipo let Mei wear this dress when she was over at her place one day and Mei fell in love with it. Erm...this was a very old dress...for Jie wore it when she was perhaps 6 or 7.

I told Er Yi about it because the dress went to Yan Jie and now it had made its way back to Mei! Er Yi scoured her album and really found the photo of Yanjie in this cute apple dress.

And I went through all the blog posts in 2016 and 2017, hoping to find a photo of xun in this dress...and 皇天不负有心人 I really found it. SO....yes documenting the journey of this dress. I just told Xiaoshen that I would pass this dress to her so that her baby girl could wear it. Then the dress would have been ...gasp...12 years old.

So I saw lots of old photos...ha of little Youyou and Tong

Of Jie, Gayle, JJ and Jayden...we had quite a few posts of going out with JJ. sniff...you and JJ used to be best cousins as we went out with Aunt Val pretty often when she was a SAHM...but she went back to full time work and we no longer hung out as much..

Of

Apparently in 2017, we already owned these three pillows. Tong was astounded to learn that we had owned them for SUCH A LONG TIME. gosh. To think I was someone who loved to throw away old things, why had I not thrown away these pillows? Gosh...

And one of the holiday trips with all the cousins...

Oh XIAOYI! erm...Mei did look like her?

I also saw some old photos of myself and my friends when we were in JC....

Erm...I could not recall when this was taken

And FB reminded me of how adorable little Xun was...and how she used to wear way more fancifully

FB also reminded me of this hilarious video in which Jie pretended to be Elsa and blasted Tong with her icy powers and Tong very gamely fell backwards with a loud OOOOOOO

It ended with Jie laughing hysterically her head off...well she was definitely one batty character...even at a young age

Ah...Papa and her little Xiao Qing Ren...shudder with stink eye from Mama...

We celebrated Aidan's birthday!

The night before the trip to Malacca..Mama had to work very hard to finish marking all the compositions before the trip...the kids went to sleep on their own...Mama was amused to see her with her unicorn eye mask...and ..gasp...ELSA gloves...just how much more fancier could she get?

Er Yi and San Yi were walking around at a mall in JB when they saw this and took a photo to send me. LOL...well...I would say it was most APT. Shopping was LIFE!
