(13 Aug 13 Tues) Back to the Bird Park

So, we went back to the Bird Park again as we got discounted (50% off!) tickets from the NDP coupon booklet. Yeh, I must say, mama was definitely a bargain hunter with a keen nose for good deals. It was a really pleasant day, it had rained the night before, the sky was slightly overcast but it seemed like it would hold up. Heh, too the Bird Park we went! This time, I called to confirm that the water park was indeed open.

Water water water!

You did not usually dare to try the slides. However, you overcame your fear and went on it this time round! You would hold my hand when you slid down. Ha. The fearless Tong was undaunted by the intimidating slide too! He got water all over his face each time he did it but he was indomitable.

You were elated to find a big jie jie friend!

We played for a long time at the water area. Ha, we did not even manage to catch any shows! We took the tram ride three times and just relaxed and ...bird-watched...ha...

The greedy tong tong was ransacking my bag for food. Xun, you always asked for "the packet of food", it was one of the must-haves in mama's bag. ha.

Oh, someone put money for the carousel ride and invited you two to join : )

Xun enjoyed it more than Tong, who was wailing to come down nearing the end of ride.

We watched a lone crane standing so still at the pond...it looked almost like a statue! It did not even blink!

Taking a break at one of the cafes. Tong was asleep and you wanted to play on the carriage joy ride.

Well, you almost lost your bear here the other time so you were really mindful and did not ask to hold your bear at all during the trip. You were a really prudent girl, you learnt from experiences. With such shrewdness, I believed you would do well in life, my little Jesus' girl!

Tong, you were gaining weight and becoming so cherubic and chubby looking. Ha...you were still uttering incoherent words, like "boh" for "no", "wall-a" for "water"...hahah...jie jie was talking pretty a lot at your age. Heh...you were physically precocious though, strangers often remarked at how well-built your thighs were (ha!) and how fast you sprinted. You were like a little tornado.

Muakz, Love the two of you!
