(13 Aug 15 Thurs) to Universal Studios

One day, I read this post on my facebook and sent it to your papa.  he can be really harsh with us sometimes, he will get grumpy and snap at us over our genuine mistakes ...heh...but I suppose if we always show him grace when he commits blunders, then he will be increasingly gracious to us too?

Heh...mama read a Christian book on marriage and the male asked himself if his wife would feel like she was married to Jesus Christ. The thought was preposterous and astounding coz one could never measure up to how lovely Jesus was. Yet, the bible exhorts us to grow more and more like Jesus, we are made to reflect His glory and be a good testimony.  Did living with mama made you feel like you were living with Jesus? Did papa feel like he was married to Jesus? heh heh. Let us continue to labour into that sweet sweet rest and continue to grow till one day we truly embody Christ' loveliness.

So, mama bought the bubble bath solution from Iherb and you two finally stopped wasting the normal body wash lotion in a pathetic attempt to create a bubble bath in the tub. Just two caps full of the bubble bath solution and the whoe tub was bubbling over soon.

so much fun the two of you had that you would stay in there for hours, if I would allow it.

then you would put the bubbles all over your hair and bodies and asked me to take a photo

oh one night, in the wee hours, jie jie could not turn in as she had a nap in the day...there she was jiggling her loose tooth, asking if it would hurt when it came out, then POP, it came off!

heh, jie was really jubilant. ha. see the tiny little tooth, then she threw it into the bin, coz mama told her about the Chinese myth of how one would grow new straight tooth when the one that had dropped was discarded in a straight throw into the bin

toothy grin. The new tooth had already sprouted, the dentist  said it was ok, it would move slowly up to the correct position. Izabelle busted jie jie's dream of having the tooth fairy rewarding her with a coin under the pillow by telling her that the tooth fairy was just papa and mama. jie was ok, so long she still got the coin, the mercenary one.

TO Universal Studios.

most eventful. Sigh, we were supposed to go with xiaoyi and Uncle Alston, but they booked tickets to go to Bangkok on the day before, and totally ditched us in the lurch. Amazingly, they had thought of accompanying us till 9pm then taking a cab down to the airport for the 950pm flight.

well, mama was dissed BIG TIME, and thought they were really inconsiderate and irresponsible and had absolutely no sense of time. However, every cloud had a silver lining, mama scoured through the contacts to ask for help, papa's friends, Uncle Junhao and Min actually volunteered, bless their souls, ha, but mama found Uncle Xingshun and his gf, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Coz they both worked on Sentosa and got free cable tickets for us! WOOOO ooooooo. xun had always liked cable rides, a tad costly, $29 for an adult and $19 for a child, but now all free! WAHA

Aunt Xinlin was so sweet, she chose the cupcake fairy toy for xun xun, and it was something xun had been eyeing but mama did not agree to buy.

and they also got a Mcqueen car for tong tong, talked about totally spoiling the kids.  Here we were in the cable car, gorging on gummies..yeh Uncle XS really loved you two.

Totally unsure why they had the tiger displays near the cable car station..oh well, it made a good photo spot anyway

and how blessed we were. Sentosa had a new line that travelled within the island, bringing passengers to the more remote place where Shangri La Resort was.

So we hopped onto it, the attendant was so accommodating and let us wait till we could get into a purple cable car!

yay, we made it into USS. Such an coincidence, Aunt Xinlin actually knew Uncle KC, papa's friend who bought us the USS tickets. What a small small world, they were JC mates.

We were supposed to walk in the other direction (as they wanted to separate the day visitors from the special event's visitors) and would have to take a gigantic loop to get to the eateries, but the USS attendant saw that mama was heavily pregnant and let us into the cordoned off area : )

Tim didi had gotten us into privileged queues at LKY's funeral, the Taiwan airport and now this. HA. mama surely hoped he would always be so blessed all the time. Heh, Xun and tong helped to take the photos for Aunt XL and mama...not too bad.

ordered cabonara pasta for the kids. the very truthful jie jie exclaimed with wide eyes and pouty lips, "what, such a small bowl" in surprise when she saw the portion. Yes we had to order another portion in the end, the ravenous you devoured all.

Really comely restaurant, never really noticed it in the previous times we came, not crowded, rustic, reminded me of the Texan restaurants. oh and mama asked jie which country was her favourite thus far, we having gone to USA, Malaysia, Taiwan and Australia. Her answer was USA! Coz it had chilly weather. ha

strolling down the streets...such a carefree feeling, did not have to jostle with the crowds and the night was cool and balmy

Uncle XS did the usual touristy thing by making us take photos at all possible spots

oooo the kids' first ride! Tong had to be at least 92 cm in order to meet the height requirement and...TADA, all of us cheered and clapped when his little crown of hair went above the red arrow on the ruler.

There were so few people in the line, there was no need to wait at all. You two took more rides, like the dragon ride and even one exhilarating canopy ride which was supposedly so devious that even Aunt XL was taken aback.

ha...you two were more wary after that canopy ride, going for the safe, slower options. but yeh, the adventurous tong could not resist this spinning cup ride, and the hesitant jie decided to tag along. mama told papa the two of you worked in such a complementary way. While jie tended to be more prudent, she was egged on to be more daring by tong. And tong would surely do well to moderate his risk taking appetite by following jie's measured temperament.

I wished USS was more lit up so it was easier to take photos. ha...or that they had parades and fireworks at night like Disneyland!

ah, the last ride we took - the carousel, that even mama could take. It was such a blessing that Uncle XS and Aunt XL were here with us, now then I realised their names both referred to clothing sizes...hahah but Aunt XL was soooo petite, contrary to her initials. If they were not here with us, we would have to take carousel rides for the WHOLE night. haha

Ok, it was almost 11 when we left the place.

yeh, a shot with the company who made this night possible. Ah...and cheers to friends, Aunt XL, Uncle XS and Uncle KC who made this such a memorable night.

playing for a wee while in the mist...then uncle XS sent us all the way home...WOW.

And to your astonishment, the taobao stuff were at our doorstep! HAHAHA, two humongous boxes. Eh, the children could not wait to open them the next day. So after bathing, we battled with the boxes and unearthed all the treasures. heh...mama bought an Elsa ice cream maker and a McQueen-dusty track set for you and claimed they were from baby didi.

We rummaged through the things till 130am! After putting you to sleep, mama stayed up to unwrap, store away and clean up till 4am. Gosh...papa was on the plane on his way back, would be touching down in Singapore in just 2 hours away.

What a thrilling day. Could not wait for papa to be back : )
