That day, mama came across this post on fb and thought how it aptly described the dilemma tong was in. On one hand, he loved jie jie intensely and wanted to emulate her, on the other hand, he disliked her immensely and needed to fight with her for attention and just about everything else to assert his identity.
Eh, just that day, he declared to papa that he was his daughter and not his son. Yes, and he went about telling wai po that he was a girl girl and not a boy boy. Wai po said to correct him every time and made sure we stopped cross dressing him.
wai po bought another set of lollipop PJs for jie and tong insisted that jie could not wear it without him as his set was at home. Wai po told mama that jie jie tried to placate him and talked to him in a soft gentle tone but tong was adamant. So...they wore day clothes and came home to change...ha...wai po remarked tong behaved like the tyrannic san yi and xun was just like conciliatory mama.
one day, mama wore this cheong sam dress to work and every one in the shops talked to me in Chinese. Ha...just wanted to document how mama looked like when she was pregnant. Still smoking hot, according to the perpetually sweet-tongued papa. ha
So on 7th Aug, we had to go to school really early for the joint celebration. Ha you two woke up really early, like at 7? Heh, both of you could not wait, it was the first ever public school performance and one parent was invited.
decked in white and red...snuggling and canoodling up to each other on the way there
ok, waiting for the students to gather
The MCs for the event
Playing a game of "passing the parcel". Xun got it and was asked to identify the building in the picture, easy peasy as it was the MBS!
JJ's performance
Xun xun singing "Singapore town"
Eh, tong singing some relatively unknown song...well...he and Nathan were almost stationery all the time while the other N2 kids jiggled. There was indeed a vast difference between the different levels, the K2s would gather in cliques and chit chat while the younger ones would dutifully stay in their line and never talk to their friends. ha
Look at the K2s, great performance with pomps pomps.
Ha, Enfagrow came to advertise their product. wondered...eh why were parents made to sit through this? Growy the giraffe asked some questions
and xun was picked to answer! Well, the two kids loved the stage. Before this, mama had to join xun and tong on the stage for two games...ah...mama was usually so sheepish and did not like exposure, why did my two kids love attention so much?
haha, xun explained it was because she loved PRESENTS.
Ok taking photos with Growy. Xun's class
Tong's class
We went to Kidsstop with JJ and had lunch at Macs. Then it started pouring cats and dogs, we took a cab home and rested awhile. Mama was all dolled up because I was attending my company's first ever DnD in 14 years since its inception!
Though all decked in splendour, we took the bus to papa's office. hahahaha
Was a thrilling night. It was very enjoyable and everyone was so sporting. Check out my friend in the Anna costume! She said we had to take a photo to show xun xun.
Another photo with one of my colleagues from the Math dept
and mama's favourite friend, Auntie Choon Chi. heh. Wonderful time of catching up with her. papa took both of you to Suntec for a Japanese dinner, he told mama that you two gobbled up a lot of food and that made him happy. Then you went to Toy r us, of course, papa reminded you that you had to use your own money at the end of the year to get toys so you did not make a fuss and wanted to buy new toys. Then you even went to the supermarket for grocery shopping. Orrr, papa was such a penguin daddy, wasn't he?
It was all in all an eventful day. More on the national day LONG WEEKEND.
