oh our cute little jun jun in his minion romper...he looked took adorable for words, and he did look like his chubby hamster toy
tong asked for jun to pose beside the soccer ball. actually, mama thought jun seemed to look bigger on photos, he was quite skinny in person actually...haha
the kids were decked in traditional costumes...tong was still a little ill with flu
but he enthusiastically agreed when mama asked if he wanted to go to the carnival.
so here we were at the River Angbao..the carousel never failed to enthral the kids
jie wanted to go into the water drum, dubbed the hamster wheel by papa and mama
jie really cut a lovely figure in that blithe cheongsam
well, she tried to somersault and do spins
tong thought he would have a go too...
but fear gripped his heart when he was about to step off the platform, ha so he backed out from the game after all
it was not uncle Ringo this time round so we could not use the leftover credit we had from the previous carnival, darns...the rides were cheaper though, there was more variety and the equipment seemed more well maintained and were newer
the swing seats...always a breeze on this one
strolling around and admiring the sights
papa went on the bumper car with tong, quite novel looking, i must say... looked like spaceships? ha even papa commented that they were rather bumpy and scary
tong went on the bouncy castle for a while...he was really not feeling well and not his usual self, coming out just after a slide
asked him to make better use of the money to play on another bouncy castle...he was not too spirited about it though, poor didi...and xun would always query, which didi?
we could conquer the little red dot together, you in the carrier, we could go anywhere, except mama must admit, i used to be able to walk around with jie or tong in the carrier for hours...but with jun, i did experience shoulder pain and back ache after a relatively shorter time...sigh
jie truly delighted in jumping...well...she stated that she only did this for 10 minutes so she was sure she would not get tummy ache...perhaps she would often have stomach pains after visiting the trampoline park as she would drink icy cold water straight after strenuous exercise? hmmm...just a speculation
went to the platform to see the majestic displays
never failed to amaze mama how creative humans were
ah the flyer display at River Angbao juxtaposed next to the real thing!
wow, what a huge urn?
the kids did enjoy taking photos
oh the zodiac animals, in really cute fat versions. jun the goat
tong the dragon
xun the cow. coincidentally, these three animals were just next to one another!
i loved the chinese culture. recently, mama had started doing serious work at home with xun to prepare her for primary school. seemed like it was not enough to just attend the preschool, either we had to coach you kids at home, or send you for enrichment classes...
so yeah, bought books from Popular to practise...well...jie could read simple books now! how cool...
ha happy us
this was cool, the Monkey God
mama's zodiac animal...ah, did not manage to take a photo of the animal display though, seemed like it would be a good year for mama and papa
random photos of the kids...our bout of illnesses had finally passed...tong had contracted some stomach virus again, he had been having diarrhoea, crossing fingers.
Jesus, you are our healer, provider, protector and lover. We put all our lives into your big hands, knowing well that you would take perfect care of us. Amen.
