(23 May 16) Madam Tussauds

Ha, part 2 of the enjoyable day at Sentosa. sauntering down the red carpet...pose and take a shot!

we could choose between "images of Singapore" or "madam Tussauds"...madam tussauds looked crowded, so we thought we would check it out later.

down memory lane where there were peephole mobile cinemas

gathered at an old-fashioned office where live actors talked about walking down memory lane to see the development of Singapore...so we went through the eras...at each point, there would be an actor, some videos...not totally engaging actually...but it ended with a boat ride and somehow..the kids still felt that the place was sufficiently interesting...ha

some sights when we were taking the boat - towering hhdb flats

oh we had not caught an opera show before...hmmm wondered if you kids would find it intriguing

hindu temple...and we got off the boat and went to Madam Tussauds

ha, the first section was about world leaders..not that you knew any one of them..

oh you knew Mr Lee and Mrs Lee...what a very...poignant scene

wow, would xun be a world leader in time to come?

perhaps tong

and we would be invited to the Istana for meals

check out the nation's future leaders

well perhaps xun could marry some royalty and we could all become part of the royal family

oh in the sporting arena

too bad, not papa's favourite idol

ooo...the props were fun

not too bad an ending pose

yao ming was really awfully TALL

yup in fact all the athletes were towering

our very own soccer hero

ha entertainment celebrities...they were clueless about him though

oooo, no 1 ah Jie forever

Showtime!

they found props and went zany

our local star

having props made it really fun for the kids

they were going for the dottiest looks

welcoming the rock stars

trying to simulate the poses

oh what a dandy Casanova

and what a spirited bunny

reminded me of the looney raving rabids game

well...there was no stopping of the kids...they were trying out all the props

it was not a very big place...just nice for an hour

a kind photographer took a shot for us

ha xun was bothered by the actor's strange face

maybe I should borrow this movie for you?

wow, what a charming pianist

we ended the tour and headed to the cable car station.

the kids wanted to visit every other attraction they saw - the butterfly park, tiger sky tower...

what a lovely time on the island

we took the mount faber line and alighted at mt faber where we had a sumptuous feast with uncle xs at the Sprouts restaurant

a wefie in the cable cat

the restaurant was perched atop the hill, very serene, very relaxing vibes

even found a bell of happiness

looked at how many bells were tied to the poles and railings... reminded me of the temples in Japan

uncle xs was really good with jun, he could take care of him for quite long while mum tucked into the yummy spread

and the very considerate him drove us all the way home. while we were in the car, you three were talking incessantly about dinosaurs...tong kept quipping, "do you have any questions for me?" and he would show off all his knowledge about the dinosaurs...ha it certainly impressed uncle xs as he did not know kids could be so well-read and well-versed in such topics..

well, xun went home and immediately drew a card for uncle xs. It was such a fabulous day..if nothing else, I hoped the three of you would remember that you had a great childhood!

ha..coz the blog would show nothing of the regular visits to our favourite family doctor, Dr Khoo (we just went today and the three of and and papa came back with lots of medicine and a poorer papa coz he paid $350 for the medicine)...of having to do assignment books, TLL worksheets with mama...

looking forward to going Sentosa again!
