didi was growing up so quickly and could crawl-leap now. he would propel himself and leap, it was cute to watch him grow. he could also sit up now. we started on solids... mama was lazy to cook, so we usually had bananas and bottled baby food. ha.
took didi to the polyclinic for his jab and the kids were just entertaining themselves by taking turns to carry the baby
after the visit to the polyclinic, we went to Underwater world. Uncle XS was one cool cat, he got us free admission tickets! Hurray for friends!
we loitered while waiting for him to come...
spotted peacocks..always enthralled the kids
finally got in, the eager ones dashed inside and we were told there was a dolphin show!
the first time we caught the show
our first time seeing a pink dolphin!
and sea lions
it was novel
started exploring the place. a weird crab
an abnormally bent fish, it was so still that we mistook it for a statue and was surprised when it moved!
totally nonplussed as to why it had such an odd shape
saw this cute crab which would decorate itself with even human trash for camouflage
definitely looked like the corals
this exhibit was supposed to be of the otherworldly octopus... well, it was supposed to be camouflaging...I would not be able to tell, it might simply be a fake exhibit! ha
humongous splendid spider crabs, told xun that the sea animals made me think of seafood...she was very tickled by that
oh dory fish! the dory movie would be premiering in Singapore in mid june, the kids were so enthusiastic about it and xun even made a calendar to count down
taught them about the symbiotic relationship between the clownfish and anemone
they were captivated by the jellyfish
took the travellator to tour the aquarium
saw a group of sleeping sharks! hmmm.. I thought it was queer why they seemed so lethargic
caught some stingrays sleeping too
what a hard job, to scrub the corals...
I liked how the aquarium had sculptures and structures to portray a sunken city in the waters
I was puzzled as to what this was when I first saw it, like a pile of fish on the seabed
a close up, turned out to be the sleeping sharks when the travellator turned around the corner
a sleeping stingray on the roof of the underwater world
leafy sea dragons... I never knew of such things when I was young...
another scuba diver at work
touch pool!
they squealed when they touched the slimy fish
I liked this interactive exhibit. bought them fish food and you were occupied with feeding the fish from your palms for a long while
well, this was a very old aquarium, it was like the hottest place to visit during its hey days, but now..things were run down...RWS seaworld definitely was more glorious..yet...it kept the kids well entertained for 2 plus hours. there were many indian tourists so I supposed it made money from hosting tour groups...
uncle xs even got us cable car tickets! wooo hooo, how cool was that!
relishing the beautiful scenery, snacking while soaking in the sunlight...
what a wonderful life
