So, we really went for breakfast at 8.30am. We heard that San Yi Zhang was so hungry in the morning that he went out scouting for food at 6ish am. LOL
After breakfast, we visited some carnival stalls.
The adults let the children play and they accumulated enough hits to get a humongous yoga ball!
Spinning the wheel...and Tong, the lucky blessed one, got the GIGANTIC PRIZE. The sweet boy traded in one enormous one for four tiny ones, so the young ones like Yanjie, Anders and Jun could have a soft toy each.
Ah...one wondered how to bring that big flurry ball home...fortunately, the air could be let out easily...so one could pack the flat ball into the luggage easily.
Went to the cable car station. Wa...人山人海。
Xiaoyi was so enraged that the rude ladies just jumped the line and brazenly entered the cubicle right under her nose. She told us that she fought back and warned us about the scary women in the toilet. Erm....San Yi went and she said they parted ways for her...sounded like Moses parting the Red Sea...she said probably coz she was way taller than them and cut an intimidating figure
Cable car time - The beautiful view at the hilltop
The view in the morning
Poor Uncle Cavan had to work and could not join us.
Saying hi to You You and the rest who were in the other cable car
They were still building new developments...gosh, we all agreed that this hotel BADLY needed a convenience stall. Surely the business would be thriving, drinks and snacks would be selling like hotcakes, how could such a huge hotel and tourist attraction not have a single convenience stall?
We were looking for a shady spot at every opportunity...
The place was really scenic
Tong took care of the elderly and the young...hahah helping to push Aden's wheelchair and holding Waigong's hand to guide him up the slope...and now, spending time snuggling with Waipo
Admired these ancient and grand buildings
Saw some dragon statues...of course, we needed our dragon warrior to pose with them
Had rolled-up ice cream
The adults had a blast taking photos...while the kids were badgering us to just MOVE ON
JUMP SHOT
Papa said we were doing some ASEAN Summit photo
Xiaoyi took care of Jun...the adults were worried that the young ones would go missing amongst the crowds...
The most handsome chess piece
WOW, magnificent Buddha statue
admiring the sights in the daytime
Jun wanted to be the photobomb
Like a scene from Harry Potter? Does it look like a Hogwarts Express train platform?
Jie was wearing the Harry Potter sweater!
OOOOO this restaurant's exterior was beautiful...heh the books caught Jie's eyes...ah and it was one of her favourite books!
Flower gate
Couple shot taken by our trusty photographer Xun
Well, we thought that Er Yi Zhang had become better and better at taking photographs...LOL
One of the sisters took this behind our back...literally
WINE CELLAR
At the entrance, waiting to go into the wine cellar
Found a nice dining room and thought we could claim our free glass of wine here...turned out that this was reserved for the premium ticket holders
but since we were seated so comfortably, we should take a photo
Ah at the end of the wine cellar journey... Tong and Xun tried some wine and definitely did not like it
Mei savouring her glass of juice
POP MART
We had wanted to take the cable car down to explore another part of the hill. Luckily, the staff member told us that the supermarket would be closed at 5pm, so there would not be anything for us to do if we did go down.
Papa and the uncles asked the staff member if there was a supermarket in the vicinity and the person directed us to this POP mart, they being not very conversant in English and mistaking the supermarket for POP Mart.
WAX MUSEUM
The kids only wanted to take photos with this celebrity...LIONEL MESSI
We went to the wax museum and realised that these were inferior imitations...LOL...definitely not of Madame Tussaud's standards....Gosh, some of the wax figures looked terribly unlike the real person
This looked nothing like Marilyn Monroe
Jacky Chan?
LOL MR BEAN - this was done quite accurately
Make America great again!
Woah, Obama was TALL
Both were nerds
The princess-to-be?
They liked the Kungfu statue the most of all
Only Mei could put her leg up as high as Pol
Everyone came to eat in our room. The men da-baoed the western food back...YUMS YUMS
and so it was time for online games, mahjong and chit-chatting again
