Ah...ball of burning fire in the cerulean sky
scorching sand, crystal clear, cool water
Mei was throwing a tantrum and did not want to go and play as she felt it was TOOOOO hot...everyone tried to cajole her to go..Waipo took her to the beach to play with sand...then Eryi carried her and put her in the water...and soon she was enjoying herself
Tong said he spotted 7 crabs but only managed to catch 6
Beached whale!
Sanyizhang did not sun his belly...so his back had become awfully tanned but his belly was as white as tofu...hahah
Though it was terribly hot, we stayed there for nearly one hour
Washing up was using the low tap meant for washing sand off the feet...ha...
We had wanted to go to another more highly rated restaurant for seafood but were too lazy to walk...ha Papa ordered a crab and three lobsters! Came up to some 5Mil vnd...
We had wanted to eat Pizza 4P but it was too crowded. We ordered one half cheese - half teriyaki chicken takeaway and finished it up in a jiffy. piping hot thin crust of goodness. They had chosen another restaurant but Youyou couldn't find anything that he liked so he did not want to dine there. It turned out to be a blessing as we had a private meant for 18 pax at this posh restaurant!
Had dinner at a most beautiful restaurant...Food was scrumptious, service excellent...Waipo told Papa and Mama that she overheard Xiaoyi and Uncle Cavan talking about footing the bill in the taxi.. Ah? Waipo could understand English? Truly, nothing was safe from her. HA
the server told us that the fire and light show at the Dragon Bridge only happened on Sat and Sun. Eryi was terribly apologetic about giving us the wrong information and making us come to this area for dinner...
No one blamed her and told her it was fine. Xiaoyi indignantly said that if she were the one who had made a mistake, all the Jiefus would be teasing her non-stop
Anyway, we decided to go to the night market. Picturesque night scene. A particular building (Marrior Hotel?) had LED screens across its whole facade
Mei went looking for Eryi Zhang that night as he took good care of her when she went swimming and Papa and Mama were away doing a relaxing 4-hand (done by two therapists at the same time) massage.
We thought of taking a photo at the Dragon's head..we were quite perplexed when we saw crowds lining both sides of the bridge and there were hordes of people at the lower platform too...We wondered if there would be a light show after all...the timing was immaculate as the light show was supposed to start at 9 and we were there at the dragon's head just 3 minutes before 9.
Eryi joked that she was right after all. We said if the show did come on, we would chant "Erjie is right, Erjie is right"...She went on to say that she had planned this all along actually. LOL
It was a 5D experience...we could feel the blazing heat and smell the gasoline in the air
A pity we only caught Tong spouting out water in this photo and did not take one of him spewing out fire hahahaha
The water came out in a humongous stream and we laughed our heads off when we saw people who were standing right in front of the dragon head run off. Ha...then came another huge blast and water droplets were blown towards us, GOSH!
After the dazzling show, we went to the night market.
Boy, was it bustling!
We had nutella banana pancake AGAIN
Waiting to have the last MJ game before we went back to Singapore..ah Mei with three doting Yi Zhangs...
That little imp. Well it was already 230 and the men were still playing, coz Er Yi Zhang had amazing luck today and kept winning even during rounds when the chances of winning were slight, and sometimes he won the game at such speed that it took the rest by surprise...so Tong and Jun had fallen alseep on Papa's bed and would not be sharing the room with Jie...ah...end of a most fulfilling trip.
Truly, having all of us healthy, safe and together was one of the greatest blessings in the world!
We already got the dates and venue. LOL. Coz Mama had to take leave one year in advance and we were always exploring SE Asia so it was easy to pick a place!
Till the next extended family trip.
