DAY 3
Spotted the lovey couple eating breakfast
Ok, we were ready to explore
We took the cable car down to the middle of the hill
On the way back, both groups wanted to take this open-air cable car but there was only one. We named it affectionately "The 菜篮“ as we first saw it when one was transporting boxes of vegetables uphill...
Spotted a majestic waterfall!
Got off the cable car and started our exploration. Woah, boy, was it hot! We did not go into this shrine as Waipo said it was for ancestral worship.
Found the cultural village. They had replicas of the old buildings
Beautiful architecture...old houses, courtyards, castles, moat...
Ha, what else could we do but to eat ice cream on a very scorching hot day
Cute Jie and her jump shot
Welcome to Sunworld
Ah, the little imp was always asking Papa to carry her
The two little pigs
The industrious cow
They pretended to be soldiers
Saw swans in the dirty water in the moat
Xiaoyi said it was trendy now to take photos of people against a brightly lit background so we could only see the silhouettes...Papa said it sounded ridiculous but Jie confirmed that this was indeed the trend!
Jie and her heart-shaped pose
The rest of the people were hiding in the building and relaxing in the shade...eh only the intrepid us were braving the blazing sun to be in the open
Ah...the prissy girl
Waipo said she would like to buy one of those special Vietnamese lanterns
Well...we thought there would be a supermarket here as it was indicated on the map. To our dismay, their idea of a mart was just a handful of F&B shops *SCREAM*
Jie captured Tong's emo face as we were on the way back...He must be thinking "FINALLY"
OK we skipped lunch as we intended to have a sumptuous Korean BBQ dinner in the evening...So...theme park fun now!
Papa and Jie went to take the roller coaster ride at Luna Castle
Then they took the train out
Another Harry Potter-ish platform
Papa, Xun and the boys wanted to take the Alpine coaster ride but it was too crowded. They went to Starbucks to have a drink instead.
While Mama stayed in the indoor playground with Mei. The nice thing about this indoor playground was that there were free game machines for the kids to play! There were free joy rides for Mei to take too.
She enjoyed this spinner structure. She was on the only green ball most of the time...as green was her favourite colour. Well, only green and yellow as she had to sit on the high yellow ball when others took the green ball. She played here for more than an hour, just spinning non-stop...the considerate girl took care to hop off to stop the spinning when there were young reckless kids around...Mama said she was behaving like a hamster running on a hamster wheel...
Yay...she was just a little bit over 105cm, the stipulated minimum height
Yay...she loved horsey rides
All the free joy rides
OOOO VROOM a big powerful car
Gor and Jie went on this exhilarating thrill ride
The small ones taking the ferris wheel
So I was saying, we skipped lunch...HA but everyone was hungry at 3ish, so everyone had a tiny bite...
Ah...Jie and her eating shot again
The greedy little pigs
KOREAN BUFFET
Papa sat with the big kids
Eryi's family
San Yi's family...San Yi Zhang said we passed him so many unwanted chicken wings, he must have eaten some 20 pieces
Ma sat with the young ones and Jun was helping me to cook...AH...check out the sleeping pig. WASTE OF MONEY
Waipo had the whole table and hotpot soup to herself! YAY...we finally found some decent food for her. It was really hard to find decent vegetarian food for her. Oh, and the soyabean soup base was really savory and tasty!
LOL....yes...the sleeping pig did wake up some time after but refused to eat a single morsel
SO...she ate cup noodles in the night. Luckily, Er Yi always packed cup noodles on holidays : )
So..it was a lot of laughing and chattering in the humongous ROOM 3206 again...Jie played MJ too. Now, the parents were all equipped with powerbanks and data plans...and having charged the phones and devices while everyone was showering...heh...
END of the stay at Bana Hills, we were SO READY to go to Da Nang City...you know...the first thing we would do would be to find a supermarket and STOCKPILE SNACKS!
