(2 Jun) Aunt Eda's 18th Bday

It was a balmy beautiful Sunday morning...we had two parties to attend today, one was to Aunt Sihui's baby girl Joy's baby shower...the other was to Aunt Eda's 18th birthday party.

 

 

Tong tong was all dashing, decked in his Dutch jersey...Hmm, tong was a tad small, the jersey was meant for 6-12 months old! But he sure looked dapper and athletic!

 

You looked so gorgeous in this white bareback dress...it was a gift from Aunt Karen...from an atas children wear shop!

Watching cartoons while waiting for Daddy to be bk home from soccer. Tong looked like he was up to no good again.

We spring cleaned Ah Gong's house and brought back this princess bear. It was a gift from San Yi but I kept it away and never got it out till now. You loved it to bits.

I always tell papa that I wish someday you and tong tong will bear the Singapore's flag and do us proud by representing Singapore in some national event. Xun...When we went to USA, Aunt Kim said that you were sooo ravishing, she said one day you would represent Singapore in some Miss Universe pageant and she would jump up from her seat, shouting that she knew you and knew all along that you would be in the pageant someday...well we will see if this comes to pass...

I wonder what Tong can represent Spore in? Grins, daddy has rather low ambitions, he says well, maybe march in the NPCC contingent for National Day Parade? Or be flag bearer when Tong is in National Service? HA/

On the way to the birthday party, you and Tong were totally zonked out.

Tong, at the baby shower party, there were some ah mas who were eyeing you for long periods of time, commenting how small your mouth was and how thin your lips were. Laugh. They said you had such feminine features, you should have swopped your features with jie jie...

Xun, I know you love sleeping shots...so...here is one...awwwww...my little babies...

My Aunt Mavis said time really flew by and before she knew it, her daughter had become 18 years old! I knew Eda since she was 4 or 5...she was barely bigger than you...how did she become so big all of a sudden? All the parents always tell me that time will zoom by and I will look back upon these days with fondness and nostalgia...heh..

Tong tong looks up to you, he is always imitating what you are doing. Recently, you come up with this "hugging" game. You will go up to him and hug him. At first, he did not know how to react and would push you away. But now, he always hugs you back. I am so moved to see the two of you hugging. Remember, you are family, nothing matters more than family.

What a sweet shot. Papa always tell Tong tong will be your protector when you are in your teens, he will fend off all the pesky suitors. I say the two of you will look like a couple : ) I say, xun may have friends who are smitten by tong tong and you will roll your eyes and laugh at them, for you cannot fathom how they can be so enamored with your cheeky silly little brother...though I think...you probably love your didi so much, you probably think the world of him, just like how he thinks the world of you...

TOng had a good time running barefoot at the party as Daddy forgot to bring his shoes out from Ah Ma's house.

Xun, you loved the pink cake. It does look so swell!

I seriously can't imagine the day when Xun will turn 18...it seems such a long way off...well...when you are 18, you can look at this blog and marvel how big you have grown...
