So, we were off to Orchard Central to celebrate Wai gong's birthday at Tung lok. The rest were not here yet so we went to the sky garden and it was a marvelous sight. It was a quiet, carefully manicured green paradise tucked on the top of the building which offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the cityscape! It was amazing.
Today, xun and papa wore matching musical notes dress : )
What a beautiful musical lady...I wondered if you would continue learning the piano, I felt it was a good skill and offered you options to be a freelancer when you became a mum...
Sometimes, you would ask me what names you should call your children. You mentioned you only wanted two girls...lol...well...I claimed that I would only take care of your kids twice a week..so you had to do part time work..brainwashing from young...
What a quirky sculpture, a man climbing up a stairs hung in mid air!
What a gorgeous baby girl...I always told you that I wished you could stay at two years old...you said you wished to do so too, that if you grew up, you would have to sleep in your own room. So I told you you could sleep with me even when you became an adult..haha
TOng had a musical notes shirt too. Wai po praised how utterly dashing he looked.
ooo a quaint garden below...eh...we could not figure out how to go down..besides, it was fenced up...
oh mama and xun in matching wear...how cute...
my very dapper and suave dude...
and jie jie helped mama take some photos..even bear bear was dressed up royally in Princess Aurora's gown. You would let bear bear wear the gown on special occasions. It was a tad fitting for princess bear...ha...you could see the cinched waist.
oooo papa tried to match tong with berms and pale blue shirts...
My lovelies...the loveliest children one could ever ask for...
oh oh oh even our pink shoes matched...how fun it was to always dress up in similar stuff...I wondered how long would you be doing this with me for?
Celebrating wai gong's 60th birthday!
What bliss what bliss...
I was just pondering...if we should have a third child..it was so comfortable now, tong was finally more mature and life had gotten easier...we could go and travel...mama was happy at work...if we had a third child, wai po said I would have to be a SAHM...ahhhhh...
Random things we did at home...
Nowadays, we hardly went to indoor playgrounds...on Mondays, we usually went to libraries...tuesdays we went to t john's house for piano lessons...on thurs...we would go and catch plays...or meet friends...or stay at home if it was rainy...ya...we spent a lot of time playing at home, scootering at the garden...
tong said he needed to put on make up...arghhhzzzz
xun and her camper van which we lugged back all the way from Australia because of the excessively doting papa. She was into it then coz she saw a Peppa pig episode in which they went camping in a camper van! Talk about coincidence, we just watched it and saw the toy at the super mart.
One day, we were ambling outside and spotted some mimosa...xun was intrigued...tong not so...
On this day, we hung up the Spore banner at our study room's window and we went to the back lane to try to spot our house...
Saw that? The highest floor with the little red thing peeking out...
Loved this futuristic looking glass clad building. eh...mama and papa used to think it looked rather odd when we drove past it in our dating days..who knows? we actually lived in this apartment we previously derided...hahaha...
tong was helping out with chores. He could take out most of the clothes, except for the ones stuck at the bottom, and put them into the washing machine independently. Mama could just relax and stand and watch...
Every thursday, I would give the two of you $1 for the week's pocket money and $1 for helping out with chores. Jie jie was more conscientious...she would always be helping out...tong...not so consistent..ha...jie could empty her potty and wash it before bringing it into the room for the night...you were such an angel xun, reminded me of my young days when I would wash the potties for my sisters too
Ah...one of those rainy days when we put on raincoats to scooter in the rain! What would the conservative old fashioned papa say? Luckily, he was alright with mama's strange and unconventional upbringing methods for the two of you...ha
Xun stood in the shelter munching on the new fave - chicken ritz biscuits. said you were a princess and it was unbecoming to wear a raincoat. check out the tiara!
oh we spotted toadstools.
Oh and we baked yummy potato fries at home...healthier snack and just as yummy...
such was our carefree days...oh well...a few months more before structured education set in! I love the two of you to bits. Love you sooo much, angels.
