Aunt Shirley had always been very generous and sweet to us, she brought along two sacks of clothes and toys for tong tong...ha, tong had favour with Ben gor gor, he specifically asked to leave some on his clothes and toys for baby Isaac. ha, and Aunt Shirley did not know that Tong had changed his fancy and liked Mcqueen now. She gave away two sets of Mcqueen Lego...orrrrrr, she would surely keep for tong if she had known coz she rather favoured tong tong...ha
we went to eat lunch at a Korean restaurant, it was rather tasty fare but the noodles were a tad spicy but you kids did not eat too much
Went to Kids Amaze at Jurong Safra Club. It was a towering structure, could climb up to 5 storyes, but the steps were too high for tong so he could not go up initially. Later, you all discovered you could use the ramp instead.
Collecting the soft balls to be put into those great funnels
and all the balls would fly out...it was amusing
shooting the balls out of the canon
tong found a scaled-up version of the snake and ladder game outside the climbing structure but they did not have dice or pieces for us to play the game at all, what a waste. we just had fun climbing up ladders and sliding down snakes on our own
many kids from the nearby enrichment centre came to play and it was really crowded. oh my. So Aunt Shirley suggested going for a break and we went to Gelare and had WAFFLE ICE CREAM (what else) ha. there was a tiny play corner for toddlers which suited you all just fine.
Spying on the enemies at the top of the castle fort
eh..using the kettle to refuel the car?
lots of joy rides outside the playground but we could not play as we did not have old $1 coins
found some cut-outs and of course we never resisted taking a photo with cut-outs
oooo the most dashing soldiers around
and what a beautiful female soldier, as pretty as a flower
there was a pond so you took the stoned pavement to the middle...which was some kind of sitting area...alas, no fish in the pond
a good group shot
and a shot of the photographer taking a shot
the shot that Aunt Shirley took, I forwarded this to papa and he said to ask Ben to keep his hands off his xun xun...ha...and I just noticed that xun had her hand on ben's thigh...orrrr, such an intimate gesture...like how mama would put her hand on papa's thigh when he was driving...heh...
oh and Ben told Aunt Shirley that his criteria for girlfriend would be someone who could follow instructions...meaning someone who was obedient...so jie jie surely fulfilled that? ha
a simple old-syle swing and they had a whale of a time...
oh it was at this point when we hopped into Aunt Shirley's car that tong discovered that his nemo was lost! Went back to the playground, nope, called the restaurant, nope...oh well...tong did not seem to be too affected..oh well...good thing we got an extra one at home
the tree house at IMM, never tried this, but novel things were not as intimidating when you were with friends. With the gutsy Ben around, the kids were game for everything. Turned out the slides were NOT slippery at all, and not the least bit scary despite looking so tall...
ha it was like some fruit garden?
entrance to the slide, like a scene from the Lord of the Ring movie...
you all thought climbing up the slides directly was more exciting
played for a while more, went to the other dry playground, gambolled more for awhile and we headed to the comfort of the air-conditioned Daiso, a shop mama loved, coz the things were always so amazing and affordable at $2 each!
always a must to check out the toys, masks, hairbands...the two of you had this idea that you could spend $2 on one item every time we went to Daiso and you had to pay for whatever extra you wanted to buy...sigh...coz I allowed you to do this once and you thought it was a practice!
had a really early dinner at Wan Chai, café just outside Daiso at 5 plus! WOAH, a day of endless feasting. Had noodles, bread and egg...and the kids MUST share all their food, apparently food tasted better when they were on another persons' plate? ha
and the sweetest gesture, of Ben feeding little Xun like a doting boyfriend. Well, we shopped awhile then jie complained of tired feet...so we decided to go home, it was only 7 plus and the kids pleaded to play for awhile more at our house...
yup, so Ben came up, totally enjoyed playing on their double decker slide bed and tong's toys...heh...we should be meeting them for a playdate again next Sun. Aunt Shirley even suggested a stayover, erm...but mama really preferred to be in her own comfy bed
the kdis fell asleep before papa came back to the hotel room. Xun came down with fever so mama gave her medicine and both went to sleep at 9 plus. face timed with papa and xun woke up when she heard noises. She seemed better and manja- ed with papa...orrr she truly missed papa...tong too, he kept asking if papa was coming home tonight...
Sadly, jie woke up feeling sicker in the night...stomach ache, nausea...I supposed she caught dad dad's stomach flu...well...we had medication from the previous year's attack, so we could buy more time till morning to see the doctor. alas, we were given the same medicine and the bill came up to $60,should have just bought the medicine from the pharmacy. Mama was getting adept at medicating. hahaha
Silver lining - Kids Amaze called mama to say they found NEMO! tong, mama, Ben and Aunt Shirley seemed to be pretty alright...we prayed for God's protection to keep us insulated from the stomach flu virus.
Going down memory lane, got prompted by Facebook about a picture I uploaded in 2010!!! 5 years ago, on the exact same day. Went for dinner with some friends and we said Xun had 5 Cs, uncle chye, uncle chuan, uncle choon, uncle chris and uncle Chen Keith to give her money every month for maintenance...haha...sigh...how nostalgic...younger days, literally, coz mama was just in her 20s then....ha...
jie seemed to be more cheerful now, her fever was still there but she was smiling more...wai po stated she pretty much slept the whole day away...well, we know Jesus had healed us, more than that, he had given us supernatural and divine health. k got to chat with dad dad before sleeping. THank you Lord for watching over us and loving us to bits. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
