( 17 Jun 15 Wed) papa 's off on a work trip

The sad day had arrived, our darling papa was going to fly to India for a 2-week trip. He finished his work in the morning and came to spend the rest of the afternoon with us.

We brought the kids to Turf City, first the ice cream parlour which had a small play area. Ha, ordered waffle ice cream, it had been a most decadent holiday with lots of feasting on icy sweet treats.

mama would miss papa so much so much. We went to the Treehouse restaurant next to have some finger food. The two were lazing on the gigantic bean bag mostly, the lazy bums. Then ah gong came to pick all of us, dropped mama off at Westgate for work and headed to pick ah ma up from her work place.

on the way, the little munchkins fell asleep.

how cute and cuddly. papa would miss snuggling up to the little warm bodies at night, smelling their sweet scent and hearing their mumbles when they sleep-talked. ha.

went to have dinner at the airport. We-fie time so papa could have photos of his precious sweethearts. papa claimed the kids ate with such gusto that you would have never guessed that they just snacked at 3 plus in the afternoon. laugh, apparently, the two devoured a bowl of noodles and soup.

having fun being wheeled around on the suitcase

tong liked to bring his little heart pillow around and insisted mama hug it to sleep at night as it was his mother's day present to me, and presented to me when mama went for the show-and-tell session at school

jie jie took a liking to the fluffy giraffe that uncle khai chai gave her. called her poppy while tong called his clownfish "lollipop". ha

the kids went home, and papa messaged mama to say that xun was sobbing so loudly when he departed. orrrr... he took a photo of him at the waiting area with the plane he was going to take

ah ma updated that the kids were just fine, indulging in their ipads again

then on the plane. mama and papa messaged till he had to turn his phone off and take off...orrrrr...the beginning of a long wait till papa came home

ah gong came to pick mama up from work. you saw rocket and laid your heads on it, claiming if you missed papa, you could hug rocket...

supposedly, papa's colleagues had given him dire warnings of how terrible and sucky the food in India was. Papa had bought instant noodles, a portable cooker, bread, bak kwa, bar hu, lots of snacks...like he was going to starve if he did not bring his own provisions along..turned out, the food was just fine. Breakfast was alright with eggs and toast...then he could order room service and we were astounded by the HUGE portions of fries and rice which were like a measly few dollars each. ha, so papa might end up giving all the food to the Singaporeans based there.

papa had been going to the plants, had been eventful, with rain (it hardly rained there) and a fire which broke out at one of the plants, climbing a coal plant and inhaling all the dust that resulted in sooty mucus and phlegm...oooo

well from now till then, another long 10 days...
