Well, yesterday, we went to the Sea Games Carnival at Sports Hub with Auntie A and Auntie Shuping. Eh...was rather eventful, played at some game stalls, lunched at the duper crowded food court, ventured to One KM mall to check out the dinosaur exhibit and eat waffle ice cream...Alas, it was so sweltering and ren shan ren hai that mama did not bother to take photos...so no documentation.
Today, we went for the piano lesson, talked to Teacher John about not going for the exam so he suggested playing fun songs again. Yeh, you learnt "Let it go" and was pretty pleased about it.
We went for lunch with ah Gong at Jcube and he dropped us at Kidsstop. Hurray for ah gong.
Waiting very impatiently for 2pm to come so we could enter the premise. The children were badgering me non-stop...arghhhh
horror of horrors, there were hordes of students from some student care centre. oh gosh. Silver lining - the fees had decreased significantly! only $17.50 for you two and mama, and the hours were extended to a total of 4 hours for the afternoon session! WOAH. I told aunt val we should make this as our usual haunt, easy to get to and definitely affordable.
first up, being a palaeontologist
ah ha, discovering a most precious fossilised skeleton of a T REX!
the kids scampered around to try different things while mama just sat at one corner and relaxed with Aunt Val and shared our feelings and thoughts, ahem, cough, gossiped.
this was called the J slide and you two had never given much thought to it as it looked pretty daunting. Somehow, the two of you decided to give it a go today! I applauded your gung-ho attitudes, I meant, the puny looking tong looked sooooo dashing in the orange suit, like some astronaut and he looked so tiny on that giant slide...
xun first...
she went to 5 m on her first try
little tong in the adorable dinosaur helmet. ha...
I thought he might have cold feet and chicken out, nope he went to the 3 m mark..
the kids came down and played at the climbing section. Tried to coax JJ to join them but he adamantly refused
tong scurried off to play at the imaginary lily pad pond
then three scuttled up to the rocket and pretended to be cruising to some other planets
they found the noodle bar place...mama was nattering with Aunt Val and decided to sneak a look at what you were up to. For the entire duration of spying and taking photos, the three of you were oblivious to my presence...gosh
2nd try, I thought it must be addictive to come down that exhilarating slide
xun went to 4 m instead this time though she initially boasted of going to 6 m. Eh...tong kept announcing to everyone around him that he was going to 4 m this time...ha...he did get suspended up to 4m, but then he started squirming and whining, "mama mamamamama" haha so they lowered him to the usual 3 m
at the padded corner...trying on different costumes for role play. A big gor gor came to play, he tried to crawl through the tunnel but got stuck being rather chubby...then he walked around in the tunnel and looked like a funny man-eating hose...so the kids screamed and darted around trying to escape his evil clutches...
3rd time...ha...same thing...they said they wanted to try to achieve greater heights, literally...oh how "pun-ny" mama could get...hahaha
heh but they stayed at 3 and 5 m as usual
previously, the session only lasted 3 hours, so mama was surprised when there was no announcement warning of the closure at 5pm. Oh what a pleasant surprise that it was now extended to 6pm.
ha, you came up with the bath tub idea...
the baby gate crashed the party and you all chased the pitiful one out
then decided to put some soap bars...
went on to other play areas like the construction site...well, finally after a long 4 hours, we were ready to move on to the next destination!
Hometeam NS at Bukit Batok.
mama disliked their haphazard and indecisive way of charging, for the previous occasions, we were allowed to go in at $3, supposed children under 6 were admitted FOC while mama, though not swimming, had to pay $3. Eh..now they said as we were not members, we got to pay $3 for adults and $1.50 for kids. Not costly...but just frustrated why they could not be more consistent.
it was a fun playground anyway...I meant...it did not matter if it was just an ordinary pool, you were just happy to be together. And you three were as hungry as wolves, gobbling up all the snacks in both mama's bags! tong was really hilarious, he licked up the cheerios from the box like he was a puppy!
took photos with the cut-outs..
waited outside at Sayzeria. It was a cool restaurant, cheap and good food. the papas joined us, hurray. Yay finally settled the rumbling tummies. tong almost fell asleep but mama kept him awake by making him walk multiple trips to fill up his drink and buying ice cream from the neighbouring milk and honey ice cream parlous.
We went to NTUC and bought things needed for papa's trip to India, who seemed to be preparing to stock up for war time, ha..we would miss papa SOOOOO much. he would be gone for such a long time. ALAS ALAS.
Could not wait for him to be back with us, then we would be on our Taiwan trip! WOOOO hooo.
