Oh on this glorious day with the sun shining radiantly in the cerulean sky...
we woke up earlier than usual so we could catch papa playing a soccer match with his "long-lost" JC soccer pals...ha...papa and those guys had been on the whatsapp chatgroup for the past few days and reminiscing about the good old Hwa Chong days...papa would be chortling to himself as he peered at that tiny phone screen, definitely kinda weird. ha mama thought they were behaving like a bunch of super enthusiastic kids gushing about their upcoming excursion...
xun and tong were thrilled to see papa on the pitch, though they did not really know which figure was papa. Xun even ran to the sideline to give papa a kiss before he went to play.
The boys were chilling out after a hard-won game. The organiser had remarked that the opponents were easy, but it turned out otherwise. Perhaps it was coz papa and his friends were not as agile as before...and probably more rotund and all that extra parts were making running a chore...haha
Interestingly, the old treasurer, Uncle Yong Sheng, still took on the role of collecting money from the rest of the gang. I supposed...old habits died hard.
A group shot to commemorate this wonderful meet- up
clean-up time. Tong diligently picked up all the cans and bottles, wanting to recycle them.
papa went to bathe and we explored the AMK ITE. A really lovely space, nicely landscaped, modern feel, clean and spanking new
We took the ramp to the fish pond
then joined papa and his friends for lunch at EatZi cafe
While jie jie played with another gor gor who had lunch with us, tong decided to go out to have a breather.
he insisted that he had to take a photo with his darling nemo
The kids clamoured to go to the beach quickly to meet their cousins
we had planned to bring the trishaw, but it was way too scorching.
took Ah Gong's car instead as the imps loved the new car
the duper dashing tong, in his signature Mcqueen shades and swim wear
What a way to spend the holiday, lounging by the sea
ok a wefie, eh...papa loved to take angular shots so he looked slim
azure sky - checked. fluffy dandelion clouds - checked
the girls were trawling for seashells
the boys dug in the sand
the adults just chilled...oh my...I would surely miss these carefree days when our third baby arrived
taking an afternoon siesta
then decided to read Uncle Jamson's book..and came up with the punny phrase "Jamson's gems of wisdom"...feeling the ravenous tong some tidbits
You would wonder what joy did the kids derive from dragging a pail of water all over the place
they were at it for a pretty long time
then discovered the thrill of being washed up by the strong waves
and this went on for quite a long time too...
ha, we must have spent like 2 hours there? The weather became balmy, the breeze was welcoming and soothing...so...we ended another fantastic Cousins' outings!
Papa went out to catch the opening SEA games for soccer and drove us home right after dinner. Alas, poor little tong sobbed when he peed and mama had to bring him to the 24 hour clinic at Bukit Panjang Ring Road.
Well..the kids missed the lollipop clinic, but they still had fun at this "joy ride" clinic. Ha xun exclaimed that she did not expect this ride to be like a merry-go-round! well, it was only 50 cents, so I indulged the two of you...
Tong had complained of some pain at his penis since Saturday night and mama did not think it was some infection as he claimed that the pain was external. Turned out that it was an infection and the young handsome doctor prescribed some antibiotics and tong was soon well. Xun mentioned she liked this clinic too. When asked if it was because of the handsome doctor, she gave a cheeky grin. HA....so we caught the bus home...did our routines...and snuggled together for a sweet night's sleep.
Sigh...how lovely it was to have such fun family time...
