Dec Hols - Outings with Friends and Cousins

We met up with Auntie A and her children to go to LKY experience exhibit.

The rooms were done up really nicely

It was really nice to peek into snippets of the great man's life

Hardly took photos of Aunt A and myself...ah...Jun helped us take the photos..not too shabbily done

There were games for the kids

Lots of instagrammable backgrounds

They enjoyed this room the most. One could stand on the podium and when the person raised his hand, it would activate a sensor and the "audience" would start cheering. We took several videos and they kept talking about stealing the MOON...gosh

Interestingly, the next room depicted a living room which had a TV and the people in the room could see what the person on the podium was doing. It was like a live telecast. It was hilarious to see the kids on the little screen...

A lot of psychedelic places to take IG-worthy photos. It was a good thing that we went at 1.30pm...perhaps lunch hour? The place was pretty empty so we could take lots of pretty pictures.

Well, Jie and Kayra had IG accounts so only the two of them were more into phototaking.

Penning down some thoughts...eg. what is the meaning of your name?

LOL...still talking about stealing the moon, which was a line from the Minions movie

The best part was the ballpit. They spent quite a lot of time in it and even took a few boomerang videos.

We chanced upon a really whimsical and nostalgia-invoking cafe called MamaDiam. These confectionary were only for display and could not be bought. The cafe was closing when we reached so we could not dine there but the boss was kind enough to let each kid take a free popsicle, to their utter delight.

The joyride WORKED.

We went to an art exhibition at Raffles City.

An artist created a 60m long mural of Singapore's landscapes. It was really beautiful and intriguing.

LASERQUEST AT MIDVIEW CITY

Ah...Da Biaogu picked up Jay and JJ and the cousins were on their way to the venue.

It was the post psle celebration for Jie Jie. Well...it took a year before we finally completed this mission. It was good that things had resumed normalcy and we could once again gather together to have celebrations and parties.

Listening attentively to the instructions

Jie was the star so she was made to be the demonstrator

Ah...round ONE's blue team

Papa's Xiao Bu Dian

ROUND ONE - RED TEAM

They pretty much hid near their base while the red team was bolder and hungrier for kills...especially the deranged Jiejie who always charged into the enemy base

YES, so RED TEAM won the first round.

Well...the teams were randomised from the second round onwards

Tong, Eden, Jayron, Papa...were the top gun in various games...Meimei wore the sensor while Papa held the gun...so I guessed that was a good tactic as there was a game in which he was rarely attacked, probably coz nobody noticed the puny short Mei, and he made lots of kills.

It was hilarious....it was raucous during some rounds, especially when Sherlene, Novelle and Renee ganged up against Jie and attacked her, and they would start screaming and creating a din whenever that happened...

Some rounds were deadly quiet, like the sniper round, where one could only make one-shot-one-kill...and be killed instantly when shot without any chances for revival

The various rankings...Da Biaogu was really busy with taking photos...

Briefing on the next type of game...water break...

Novelle was trying to hide...gosh

Eden - the top gun in the "Last Man Stands" round

Yay, group shot..The others often targeted Jie...I wondered why...

They got to play basketball, soccer and table soccer while waiting for the bubble tea to be delivered (gosh, it took some 1.5 hours from ordering to delivery)

The cousins and two of Jie's friends came over to play...it was heartening to see them play together

Pizza Party

The girls had so much fun that they were reluctant to go home even though it was already quite late at close to 10pm. Jayron and JJ were surprised to hear that the triplets were staying over and Jayron looked a tad envious...so...Papa graciously extended the invitation...ha...after discussing, they agreed and their papa sent their clothes and toothbrushes over...

Supper - Maggie Mee...ah...I forwarded the photos to Da BiaoGu and she replied that Ah Ma used to cook instant noodles for them when they stayed over too...Papa's cousins used to stay over at his place, so I guessed the younger generation was replicating what the older generation did...Papa had fond memories of those times so he was happy that the kids were happy

Ya I guess...eating, laughing, playing, watching TV together with cousins till the wee hours were what childhood was made up of

Pretending to sleep...it was 1am...and they were still so active

Nearing to 2am...and they were finally nestling up under their blankets...

The girls occupied the balcony and even Mei joined them...and managed to fall asleep pretty fast...

The boys were all snuggled up like bugs

Well...they chatted for a while before most of them drifted to sleep, lulled into the sweet dreamland with the lullaby playing in the background while I was writing the accounts for today...

Well, maybe Kaysen and Shernice would like to join us next time? That would be 11 of them. LOL. When would someone take our kids off our hands and offer a stayover?

Ah....sleepovers with cousins...the very thing sweet and memorable childhood was made up of...

Signing off...3.34am
