Started the day with a haircut at a traditional hair salon. One could even have one's facial hair shaved and ears dug here!
We thought Jun's haircut was really nice.
There were only two hairstylists. I would have wanted to try the ear cleaning service but Lan Papa had booked the KTV and was already waiting for us there.
The little ones blew bubbles outside the salon
Lan Papa brought a lot of food into the KTV room. There were his signature braised beef slices, strawberry cake, and Min Yiyi ordered fried drumsticks and pizza! And yes, bubble tea. We had been having bubble tea every single day.
The two elderly folks were so focused and passionate in their singing
They booked the room for 5 hours and it was some SS10 for each person and we even got to order two dishes! It was such a steal.

We walked over to Lan Shushu's home..he was going to take us fishing. Heh...could not resist taking photos of the handsome Jun.
It was a blustery place. The weather was so marvelous. Cool but not freezing.
Teaching the kids how to put the bait
The waiting game began
Not much luck at the beginning. Lan shushu said it was so easy to get the fish during summer...the fish would get onto the hook even without bait...eh...but somehow the fish had got smarter and often nibbled away the bait without us realising it
Papa caught the first fish! Tong was so excited and took the net to scoop it up and Lan Shushu was worried that he might fall into the pond.
Next fisherman: Tong
The small ones were just relishing the fresh air and warm sun rays...and yes bubble tea
Lucas caught one too
Papa put some bait in the net in the hope that one would hop into the net. heh
Yay Jie got one too
A double catch! Now we had a tie for the champion.
Jie actually caught one more but she flung the rod so fast and hard that the fish escaped and the hook almost got entangled in the metal roof!
Ha, the third fish caught by Tong in the last few minutes before the place closed. Tong - the CHAMPION. Mama tried but caught nothing. BOO
Dinner at yet another posh place...the food came up to some s$500 and Papa wanted to pay but Lan Shushu already charged it to his credit card.
Lan Shushu's family came over to see the place. They had a whale of time (hur hur hur) chasing one another around the place...
Tong said it was more fun with other friends around
Mei was so exhausted that she crept up to the upper deck and fell asleep on the floor
Ok parting shots
We certainly hoped that we would come back soon with Wai po!
Last shot with Lan shushu...Took several and did not get them right...haha
Finally!
Waiting for our plane...
It was a long wait at the Hong Kong airport. Mei just woke up from her nap and was tucking into the delicious and costly black noodles (s$20)!
We saw a nice playground but Mei could not enter as she was too young. Feeling sorry for Mei, Tong went in and came out really fast as he said he could not bear the sight of the morose baby sister sitting quietly with a sad face outside the playground. 7 hours of waiting...it was amazing how we managed to survive that.. we watched two movies - Aladdin and Toy Story 3, surfed the internet, played the basketball game provided by the airport...ate yet more food...
Another fun highlight - we borrowed a super old suitcase from Lan Mama and packed all the goodies into it. It came out with three broken wheels.
We went to the arrivals service centre and they gave us a new suitcase
It was about the same size, a tad smaller, heh but no complaints since we got a new suitcase. What a funny ending to our 10-day trip. Ah... time for laundy, unpacking..
We went to bed at 3 ish and were raring to go to Penang with the triplets...unfortunately Papa got COVID on thursday so we had to abort the plan. Ah...we were fortunate to enjoy good health, weather and company when we were in Taiwan. I guessed we were just not fated to go to Penang (the other one got cancelled to when we were activated to go to the USA on urgent notice)...
Oh well! We thanked God for the superb trip...and yes, there would be more to come!
