We loved being spontaneous. We would wake up in the morning and wondered where to go and just head out. mama had taken Spontaneity to another level. Seeing that you two were up at 8ish and could catch the Red Riding Hood Show at 10am, we called Ah Gong immediately who flew down at lightning speed to pick us.
To boot, we got Cat 1 tickets at Cat 2 prices! I never knew that they offered discounted prices on the day itself, wa haha. Astute and shrewd mama was always sniffing good buys.
We were greeted by hordes of peschool children who were there on an excursion! They were sitting on the floor in a line and the two of you followed suit
Time to go in! You urged me to go in promptly as you did not want to miss a single thing...
All keyed up and thrilled...
Tong was all excited too!
Lovely stage set up, catchy songs, hilarious characters...what was there not to love? They put a little spin into the classic story. Red's dad disappeared when he went to the Woods. Turned out that there was some poisonous berries in the woods, when consumed, they turned the humans into wolves!
The woodcutter was a really wacky and forgetful character, so you were really tickled by his silly antics, for example, calling little red little blue, then little green...and how he kept swinging round and round to find the book he slung across his body...
Red's mama ate the berries and turned into a wolf too! Both wolves were fighting over who could eat grandma, woodcutter and Little Red. The valiant Red managed to use a spell in the "Book of important Facts" and broke the curse.
We had a smashing time and you wanted me to retell you the story for the rest of the night. You saw this poster and said you definitely wanted to come and watch Rapunzel!
So, till March! We should have a spontaneous outing to SRT again.
