Well, I could not recall when we went to Singkids at Vivo but it was sometime last month. There was one day when we hitched a ride from mum's friend (jiahao) who came to return the baby car seat he borrowed from mama...to my consternation, i discovered I did not bring my wallet! Good thing I got my phone, so we called ah gong to come and bring us home. Erm...but in the meantime of 2+ hours, we went to the water area and it was scorching hot, then we sauntered through Toy r us and you had a whooping time playing on those noisy toys and went through what you would like for christmas, and we used the giant vouchers to buy some clothes and gummies...ha...
So, this time we went to Vivocity again, and of course, since that incident, you would remind me to check for my hp and wallet whenever we went out...erm..whenever you remembered to do so...
Pretty place, with a wooden ship feature wall...
Magical slide with streams of lit up water trails!
A carousel but you two did not fancy it
A swaying boat...it was fun being the captain
I liked that the place had an obstacle course play area...
It used space creatively by having two levels...I recalled they had this peanut joy ride at the Changi airport one too..
Bouncy castle slide...though I thought it was a tad dangerous with all the kids bounding off with no heed for safety
Not forgetting the perennial favourite - the balloon enclosure
Well, we had quite a smashing time...well...mama just bought a train table for tong tong recently. The two of you were spending more time playing in the playroom. We also took to visiting the plaza more frequently, it worked well, we would fritter a good 3+ hours going to the library, sometimes daiso, ntuc, playground, joyrides, foodcourt and by the time we reached home, it would be the ideal time for a nap. Previously, we would try to go to indoor playgrounds but travelling would take up a substantial part, you two fell asleep in the car and might wake up when you reached home...so...maybe we could stick to hanging out at the plaza and save the money on indoor playgrounds...ha...
Well, another favorite pastime was simply playing a fool at the courtyard. We would race one another, dance around, splash in the puddles... Check out tong's superman set, i bought the batman one for him too..I liked his clothes snug and fitting. Tong seemed to have grown taller and bigger all of a sudden...well he insisted on continuing breastfeeding (he was almost 22 months old!) He could understand us pretty well...he still spoke gibberish...hhaha and did not seem to have all those knowledge that jie jie had at a comparable age..
well...papa always commented that he had BIG shoes to fill. Jie jie sang the alphabet song a few days before she turned 2, she could speak in grammatically full sentences at 2ish, she could count to big numbers, she used bombastic words like "balmy" and "humongous", she was lanky and tall, she was immensely patient, sweet and understanding most of the time with the pesky little brother...jie jie was the angelic child that all mothers would love...hahaha
ha...papa reminded mama that tong tong behaved well for a boy for his age. He listened to instructions most of the time, he knew how to take turns with jie jie (erm...most of the time), he looked out for jie jie (he would bellow "jie jie" when it was time to go home), he was super endearing (all the aunties love, absolutely LOVE to kiss and cuddle him)...
mama thanked Jesus for blessing me with two little sweethearts.
We visited ah ma at the hospital coz ah ma fell and hurt her back. Nothing brightened her day as much as seeing her two little precious ones...and their antics..
Xun, you loved to tell tong tong to hug you...you loved to pinch his cheeks, tickle him, jab him at his ribs and call him your little "gucci gucci little baby". I prayed the two of you would always so love each other.
Er jie had a baby recently. Mama had seriously contemplated if it would be good for the two of you to have another sibling. I loved my siblings and I knew how great and paramount it was to have support from siblings. well, xun, you nearly always replied in the negative (as of now, you had only agreed once and you preferred a little sister), you said you only wanted your little baby brother... but you showed such tenderness and care for little baby youyou, you really made a fine jie jie.
love you two, little gucci gucci babies.
