Jan 2014 Dedicated to tong who turned 2

The little munchkin had turned two! You were such a delight, mama was totally smitten with you.  You wrapped ah ma around your fingers too. Now that you were older, you could understand when we talked to you, you had less tantrums, you started talking verbosely and incessantly...ha sometimes you went on and on on the same points till you irritated jie jie so much that she would say, "tong, that's enough!"...haha...you were still breastfeeding, you little imp...but you were feisty and independent and wanted to do things your way very often...like you learnt how to turn the door handle so you wanted to open the door to go out of the room on your own...you learnt to take off your socks and shoes...you must be the one who pressed the button for the lift...some things never changed, you still adored cars, trains, birds, cats and FOOD...

You were a bundle of joy to have...when you were bright and chirpy, you would be all smiles, cheekily grinning and worming your way on people's laps and arms...you had lots of favour with all the yi pohs and kor pohs...you were a darling coz you were so cuddly and obliging when they asked for hugs and kisses...

up to no good at waipo's house again. Ha, you liked to wear jie's hairbands, jie would remind you that wai po would say, "xiu xiu!". We would laugh but wai po did not think it was a laughing matter...hehehehehhh

We had reunion dinner at Paradise Inn (cost a grand total of $500 and papa had generously paid for the dinner) at Junction 10 and took the chance to celebrate your birthday. While jie jie had two custom made gigantic cakes, you had those off-the-shelves types, alas, the bane of being the second child. We kept some plastic trains decorations that were saved from past birthday cakes and put them on your cake. hahahha...

The Very happy extended family...oohhhh the rest was late so it irked daddy quite a bit. heh...but it was a happy occasion so...yeh no hard feelings...

We went for Charlotte's birthday party, and here was jie in a pretty gown and her precious pink balloon. we bought this when we were in USA and it was till her toes then. 2.5 years had gone by and she could still wear it, albeit to her knees now. hahaha

Jie wearing the crocs Xiaoshu Wenxian bought from USA, ah xiaoshu had increasingly better taste. Sneaker crocs with no back straps? cool and comfy.

For a post that was suppo to be dedicated to tong tong, there sure were a lot of jie's photos. ha...but your lives were so intertwined, you two were so enamored and protective of each other, tong would not mind...

Triplets' birthday celebration. I commented to daddy that it was profitable to have a birthday party. You would get lots of presents and ang baos. hahaha...ya but we were rather private and easy going people...so birthdays were usually just with extended families..

Random shot: We were at Hokey Pokey as you could get free entry as it was your birthday month! Jie wanted a photo with her precious jewelled balls so she would remember to find them the next time we went there...

Behaving like a boss at Wai po's house. ah ha...

Totally rocking the dinosaur tee. You were growing to be such a handsome boy. Just that day, mama wanted to take a photo of you. The utterly mischievous you would deliberately "photobomb" the photo by running towards my camera just before I snapped a shot...ya! Wai po said you did not look as handsome as when you were younger...I thought you looked better now, your face became fuller and more rugged so you looked more like a boy...you used to have a gua zi face and such a tiny pointed chin...hahah yup wai po said you would look so pretty if you were a girl...you looked so much like papa...she said jie got a square jaw like mama, the two of you should swap face shapes...

mama loved you to bits, little tong. loved the way you snuggled in my arms when we slept, loved your smell and warmth...just tonight, you brushed my hand off when I caressed your head and body. Heh...jie jie did that when she was your age too, the two of you were growing up so rapidly...too rapidly for me...

I thank God for my sweethearts. my little sweethearts.
