Bright and glorious morning...off to the pool at Temasek Club!
It had a sizeable playground, the two of you wanted to play but it was rather hot.
The children pool had a slide, that would be fun.
Tong, the hollywood star, decked in his dusty tee and sunglasses.
HIs new favourite swimming wear. Everything must be about Thomas. Tong loved thomas so much that he must wear a tee with Thomas pic on it to sleep every night. My goodness, he had recently become very opinionated. Mama told him thomas tees were good night clothes, but he would still insist on wearing one in the morning, so mama would let him wear thomas big kids pants or paste a thomas sticker on his tee instead. brrrrr...
One night, we were playing at home and you made a Jesus pancake. You said that was Jesus' face and you wanted to give it to him. I replied he would surely be very happy. When mama and papa were about doing stuff, papa overheard you praying, papa used "talking" to Jesus, about giving this pancake to Him. You loved it so much that you did not want to keep the dough so I kept it gingerly in an upright position so it would not be squashed.
It was the beginning of the June holidays. Well, it did not matter to us since we did not go to school anyway. Ha, but it was a Monday and mama tended to let you two recuperate from the exhausting weekend,so Mondays were always chill at home and library days. One day, you talked about the picnic we had in USA, when we went to the farm and you gushed about how fun it was. Mama suggested we could have our own picnic at the courtyard!
And so we did, brought soft toys, tea party set, food and scooter and there, our own little picnic at our backyard literally.
Mama loved buying matching clothes for Xun and mama from taobao. I also loved buying matching clothes for bear bear and xun xun. The brand "Dollie & me" sold really cute sets, they were rather costly if you bought from Amazon, Ebay or the shops...but they were really affordable on Taobao, like about $15 for a set? Hence, mama was really addicted to shopping on Taobao...arghhh....but the resourceful mama got an even more resourceful sister, san yi, who taught mama how to ship the goods over to Singapore myself...so there...we could have beautiful clothes at cheap prices all the time...in fact, the two of you were so used to having the postmen come with huge parcels that you would ask what had I gotten for you this time round...it would always hold some kind of surprise for you too!
We went for Dotty the Dragon show at the National Library with nana jiejie and her mama. The two of you were chummy pals and loved to play together...a pity nana jie jie usually came home quite late so there was not much time to play...what a delight for xunxun to be able to catch a play with nana today!
Just chilling out at the waiting area outside the theater before the show started...
It was an enjoyable show, about a tiny dragon who wanted to befriend the villagers and set about allaying their fears by doing helpful acts. The villagers were touched and convinced by her sincerity and decided to hold a party for her!
One particular scene you loved was when one of the characters said, "I am so happy that I could wet my pants!" Then the actor used the water gun to spray water at everyone, you all squealed and laughed, saying, "she made my hair, my shirt and my chair all wet!" it was really hilarious coz the actor then said, "don't worry, it was just a bit of urine." well, the two of you were certainly amused by such slapstick comedy. heh...
We went for lunch with them at Jack's Place at Bras Basah Complex, papa was on leave, so he picked us to go for piano lesson...then nap...then IMM for dinner with papa.
papa had tendered his resignation...he was going to leave the workplace of his youth (literally) and started a new journey at Sempcorp...well...alot of promises and uncertainty...but he looked forward to it as he heard people knocked off work at 6pm, so he wanted to come home early to have family time with us...we knew God would prosper papa wherever he went...eyes on Jesus!
