(8 Dec 14 Mon) Dental check up, Christmas elves at work

Dental visit

So, previously we went to a specialist and it was very costly. Mama decided to try one nearer to home instead as she heard good reviews from her fellow bukit panjang mummy friends. We were very blessed, for the service was amiable, the location was convenient and the dentists, especially Dr Soon, were excellent.

2plus year old tong did his first check up in July 14 and was a little hesitant then. Jie jie went first on that trip, but the valiant little one decided that he wanted to go first this time round.

The lion-hearted boy looking cutsy in the sunnies.

Tong had a little decay in that little gap between his two front teeth...orrrrr but Dr Soon said we could apply a fluoride gel for some time to stymie the decay and hopefully he would not need a filling as his new teeth would grow out then.

Now, jie jie's turn. You recalled that the kind dentist gave you stickers after the visit so you were looking forward to it. Ha...you associated the neighbouring doctor with lollipops after consultation and this dentist with stickers. eh...strange how you made your choices on which doctor / dentist to visit or how favourably you rated the experiences partly based on the treats after. ha

jie jie's teeth were in excellent condition! Thank God. Charges were sooo affordable. $25 for polishing for jie, $45 for polishing and gel treatment for tong. no consultation fees at all! We were definitely coming back to this clinic ALL THE TIME.

Christmas Elves at work

so the kids gave up their siestas and could stay up all the way till night time without being cantankerous. Mummy had a humongous bag of presents to wrap for her friends and families...and a whole load for papa's colleagues...so I enlisted the help of little christmas elf, aka xun xun.

Xun had to paste the gift labels, then I tasked her to write the names...ahahah good handwriting practice...some were rather illegible though...ahem...

mama wrote down three names at one time, enthusiasm was rife...and waned after the 15th name...well...it was a very praiseworthy effort.

Checking with papa by sending this pic if he needed this extra step of putting the perfume miniature in the golden mesh bag. He bought some 25 bottles of anna sui miniatures for the female colleagues.

For dinner, we went to Plaza and saw the performers rehearsing. Enthralled, the kids' glues were glued to the performers for a long time.

All decked in festive ornaments...orrrr,mama hearted Christmas.

After the kids went to bed, to mama's delight as they now slept sooner once they hit the sack as they dropped the noon nap, mama went to wrapping the rest of the presents. EH, some 50 presents?

I never counted and the picture did not do justice, but it was A MOUNTAIN OF PRESENTS under the tree.

tada, finally the finishing touch, abundance of gifts to bless loved ones.

Nowadays, with so many activities in one day, the time seemed to pass extremely quickly. Could not bear the thought that my babies would be away from me and in school next year. Now, who was the one having school jitters! booo hooo.
