Circus Show
This morning, T John told us that we could come earlier for lesson. I commented that we could be in time for the circus show at Plaza and that got jie all excited. We went for lunch at the prawn noodles stall (ah mama always ordered one bowl of prawn soup noodle with extra noodles and fishcakes $5.20 and one gosong prata $1, one herbal tea $1.80) and went for lesson.
mama wanted to change the arrangement and bring you two to the east to see kids' furniture instead...but jie's doleful look told me that she would prefer the show though she obliged by telling mama that it was ok to go and see beds...
So...we went for the circus show after all!
Really elated as they gave out treats! candy floss for jie and pop corn for tong. wow, like a real circus show!
The talented cast...
the lead character who was not too adept at juggling but went on to becoming a skilful performer...
Lots of balancing...
looping, spinning
This segment showcased a little girl's acrobatic skills! xun was amazed.
mama feared for their safety and took the opportunity to tell xun that they performed well as they practised really diligently...so to excel in anything, we had to put in tons and tons of effort.
I liked this, mind blowing how they could simply use two suspended pieces of cloth and twirl in the air...and do those scary free fall drops
juggling...
lots of horsing around
there were minders who made the event really orderly. They packed the people tightly so that the place could accommodate as many people as possible, they also cheered exuberantly, adding a carnival feel to the show.
and so the lead become an ace performer..
Ta da, the END.
After the show, those with passes could have a hands-on session at learning some circus tricks! xun lamented why she could not join as she was really keen on it.
kids learning to spin plates...
dance with ribbons and do the hula loop...
Playground at Sports Hub
Ya, tong and jie were adamant that they were not sleepy and ready to embark on the second activity of the day (well, xun said the third as we went for piano lesson in the morning. point conceded). Tong and xun jumped with whoops of joy when they espied the water playground from afar and started sprinting there...
tong was getting really expressive...recently he got into this adorable habit of pretending to be a baby and talking in a babyish manner. He would forget about it and talk in his normal voice, catch himself and repeat everything in the babyish way. It was utterly lovable.
In his ebullience, he gushed, "jie jie, we are going to the water playground. YAY! I am so happy."
opps, the swing buckets were meant for two year old and below. Sorry babies. I saw a baby playing in it, he had so much fun. I thought of your new baby sibling and how she/he would love it too.
What a scenic view. To be able to see our iconic skyline while lounging in the water...free admission and came with lifeguards!
Checking out the playground
tong slid down on his belly, it was so slippery and he came down so rapidly but he landed squarely on his feet, standing upright, it was like he was doing a stunt. ha
then I spotted jie jie sliding out as fast as lightning, ha caught her hilarious look of grimacing and preparing for the impact of landing heavily on her bum bum
ha, she exclaimed it was really thrilling
The kids darting around under the sprinklers..
and always trying to catch droplets with their tongue
then jie had a brainwave and asked tong for a race.
they hotfooted it around the perimeter..
looked like they were in a marathon...
then relaxing lazily while having a heart to heart talk
Finally, going for the last round of slide before cleaning up, we stayed for 1 plus hour? mama teased them that I got sunburnt while waiting for them
The mall was having the Frozen theme so they had this icy wintry Christmas tree, which xun said she must absolutely take photos with...
Then took the train to City Hall to meet papa, we are the dauntless explorers of Singapore, always taking public transport to anywhere for no where was too far or remote for the intrepid us. Saw a family of 4 at the playground...orrrr...soon we would be a family of 5, grace grace.
Checked out the bed at the furniture shop at Funan...ha reckoned that it would be way cheaper to get from China, ship it over, and ask a carpenter to set it up. Woooo hoooo...you two still declare you were not ready to move out of our bed yet...we would see how it went.
but as for now, mama could not wait to cuddle up with the snuggle snuggle babies, who would be all warm and cozy and fragrant...
