Reunion lunch
An early reunion dinner with mama's extended. Xun thought we were having steam boat at wai po's house. Ha, I never knew that the little lass actually loved steamboat meals at wai po's. We went to this quaint vegetarian cafe at Trade Hub 21. Never knew there were eateries here, it was quite a lovely and rustic cafe.
er yi and san yi zhang were in charge of ordering...they ordered two sets of many things, like rice, noodles, fish, vegetables and tofu, and some staples to share too...there was certainly a lot of food.
pretty lanterns adorning the ceiling...
leafy prints on the windows...
xun had a good time drawing and colouring with san yi. tong and you you were playing with toy cars. Little tong knew that he had to take care of the younger you you and did not mind when you you took his "rocket" car to play.
all the mandatory shots of the different families...
wondered why i always looked so...sigh...unattractive in photos...
xiaoyi fell down while practising for her cheerleading competition and broke two bones in her left arm. Could not see it as it was hidden under the scarf, papa said he gotta used this as a horror story to steer you two away from high-risk sports.
you you had grown up so much, he can run really fast now. He loved going to the outside and was racing tong and xun. Ha, he bawled when er yi zhang carried him back into the cafe.
Quote " The love of of a family is life's greatest blessing. " definitely felt true to mama
Quote "Other things may change but we start and end with family." Ha, i always declared that the greatest gifts wai po gave me was the company of three sisters...well...that was the reason why we wanted to try for a third baby. Having siblings is a great feeling...that kind of camaraderie and unwavering support, the assurance that you know you can run to them whenever you have any trouble...
san yi felt that xun xun looked like a younger her...haha
amid the laughter and conversation, we had a pleasant meal...(came up to almost $200!), vegetarian dishes were not cheap at all. But nothing beat a balmyafternoon with the loveliest sisters in the world.
Date with xun at MBS
As tong was still sick, papa brought him to ah ma's house after dropping us at MBS for church.
after the service, mama and xun xun went on a date. ha...xun chose TWG, oooo expensive taste.
mama ordered tea for myself ...and chocolate cake with ice cream for xun
xun exclaimed that it was such a tiny cake when it was served. hahah, to the waiter's amusement...
she did not like the ice cream's tea flavour very much, so mama gobbled it up.
the little girl with a chocolate mustache and an impish character
and making funny faces into the teapot
and unglamorously digging her nose in the open
she liked the crystal lamp and requested to take a photo with it
ha, we finally got a shot to show off our matching white frocks. papa said he wanted to date xun xun too, set an impossibly high standard on how she should be treated so she would have very high expectations for a boyfriend
We shopped around, went to Cold storage to buy sushi and saw this exorbitantly priced heart-shaped watermelon with a bouquet of roses...what $2888?!
Went to Sephora and xun was enthralled by the endless rows of makeup, she saw some ladies trying on the samples and commented that she could have free make up in the store next time!
We took a walk at the balcony as she noticed it when we were having tea and wanted to check it out..
never knew there was a lotus pond!
xun wanted to venture to the carnival on the floating platform, she saw a gigantic peacock display on the gallery
we took the helix bridge
she always liked flowers
ah, that was what caught our eyes
what a stunning skyline
finally reached our destination, the place was still under preparation for this year's River Angbao
oh , all the beautiful lanterns on the platform...
ah, a gargantuan God of fortune..
xun thought this was a real playground and only realised it was a model after close scrutiny
there would be many yummy food stalls, she was hoping that there would be candy floss..
the archway...
thrilled to see the fun fair, she told me she had known all along there would be joy rides here. OF course, she asked if papa could bring her there when the place was ready
heh, papa called and put a sobbing tong on the phone. We walked all the way to City Hall Mrt via the City Link Mall. Spotted a mocked up house, complete with a lion dance cut out.
Xun could not resist taking photos with the pretty house
As we held hands and strolled, we talked about many things...mama asked what sort of guy would you look for, you said someone who was kind, loved Jesus, would take good care of you and had a big heart...ha, i said that sounded pretty much like papa. you laughed and stated you wanted to marry papa and asked if he could have two wives...grins...
Well, mama had actually seeded those qualities of the man you should be looking for in you just a couple of hours ago when we were chattering about...life...
it was such an enjoyable time, I could not resist gushing from time to time just how much I love you...you basked in this precious alone time you had with mama and requested to do such dates whenever tong could not go to church in future...
yup, we should certainly have one-to-one dates often, you and me, you and papa, tong and me, tong and papa...
love the two of you to bits...if a quantity had to be imposed on love, it would be as innumerable as the grains of sand on the shore and the sparkling stars in the sky
