Xun had been gushing about how thrilled she was that Arise night was coming so soon...she added that she felt a tinge of sadness too as that meant she would be graduating and not seeing her friends
On the day of the rehearsal, school ended at 1230 and we went to Kidsstop with tong tong's classmates. Ha, we rarely went out with tong's classmates, he had been discussing with Lele (his bosom buddy) on the places to check out...it was adorable to hear him recount their conversations.
Aunt Grace drove us to Kidsstop and we had lunch together at Macdonalds.
First stop - the sand pit. Even jun jun joined in the fun.
Went up the cloud walk to the music level, then we came down to look for Nathan and Aunt Shelly. The kids were running in a pack while the mummies just chit chatted...
Found them playing at the interactive rooms
Gamboling and singing to their hearts' content
Jun could not resist joining the big ones too
Simply adorable picture taken by Aunt Shelly. The munchkins were checking out the little chicks in the incubator.
They frolicked a while at the interactive pond, ha...lele usually ran away when his mum wanted to take a photo of him...however, he asked to be photographed on the rock and jie jie jumped in to photobomb the shot! Xun liked lele, she always gushed about just how chubby and cute he was. I thought the little boys really adored and looked up to her too.
Oh, the art and craft session. Tong replied that his favourite marine creature was the butterfly fish. I did not even know such a creature existed. Perhaps he learnt it from the cartoon "Bubble Guppies", just like how he learnt about the narwhal which was like the sea unicorn? I would have thought it was some mystical creature if I had seen the picture, oh my, how terribly ignorant I was.
Ok, the staff recycled the papers, so we could not bring them home. Got to take a photo of the colouring they did.
jie liked the angelfish.
well, the mummies had a blast, we were all highly educated mums who chose to do part time so we could be home for the kids. Aunt Shelly was a part time researcher, Aunt Grace was a part time dentist and mama was a part time teacher. Oh the sacrifice...
Last shot before we left. We should definitely hang out with them again!
ha, went to IMM after that to shop and eat.
the Giant trolley was gargantuan, the kids fitted so comfortably into it.
Jun was the captain for the whole night...
it was the perfect height for him, high enough to keep him safe
been seeing the popups of these old photos...ha, the three of you could pass for peas in a pod. There was a photo which had tong and xun playing in a play pen and both of you thought it was little jun! I wondered if people would mistake tong and jun for twins when they grew up and were at a similar height.
Arise night
Oh, mama loved Tiger, he was simply soooo handsome, ohhh...what a nice memento! A utterly gorgeous photo of them in formal wear...
the couples looked like they were all going for a wedding...arghhhhhh
Aunt Val found tong's cable car, wow, it even depicted tong sticking his hand out from the car, 3D effect woah...
The decoration was lovely this year. two ex-students came to perform. Papa said maybe the three of you could perform for the school one day too.
Aunt Janice shared about her experiences as a parent volunteer
Oh, the K2 graduation ceremony!
Felt teary-eyed, wondering how did my baby xun xun grow up so fast.
Looked at her jubilant smile
Our little baby was all grown up!
and parting ways with JJ, as you were going to different primary schools
Khloe was the MC for the night, she read so eloquently
Jie jie and Victoria introduced the K2/Session 1's item. I was heartened that jie got over her stage fright and bashfulness!
Dani introduced the K2/Session 2's item
The items were all tied to the theme of the development of Singapore, it was really amazing.
We noticed you yawning on the stage while performing, ha but someone got a shot of you snoozing. How unglamorous!
We did not manage to have a shot of tong dancing on the stage but they clearly stole the limelight with their cute costumes. All the parents were cheering and laughing away.
End of the concert, the eager mums waited to pick up the children
More photo-taking of this memorable night
the two dashing boys in the class
More photos, we would miss these friends so much. The K2 mums were rather tight-knitted...it would be so sad to lose this camaraderie
Ha, tong loved the costume so much that he did not want to remove it
ha, with the cute lele, who hugged tong so enthusiastically
No wonder tong was roaring so much at home previously, he was practicing his moves
Ms Yeo came back to help. It was so nice to see her again.
the original 3 - Nathan, tong, Le. I must say the three of them were really chummy
and the three brave and protective lioness mamas
It was such a magnificent night...we ended it off with going to Hillv2's cheekaboo to have supper with JJ, like what we did last year. Oh ...it would be only tong tong having his concert next year, we would surely miss hanging out with JJ after the concert. So...the much anticipated night had come and gone in a flash...next up? THE OVERNIGHT stayover...I wondered if jie would call me to fetch her home in the middle of night...heh heh heh..
