As much as I could not believe it, Sep was here in a blink of an eye and before you knew it, Christmas would be here.
took this photo to forward to Uncle KC who bought it for tong. This was a hardy toy for it had lasted for four years and it was still going strong. It was the best toy we had received for all the kids were enthralled by it...maybe we could pass this toy to Uncle KC when he had his own kids.
oh it was mama's birthday, xiaoshu and patsy yi yi gifted this to mama, got to take a picture of the first gift from my sister-in-law. We were rooting for them to get married soon as we adored patsy yiyi!
brought the kids to the water play area at Lot 1. Jun jun was getting into all the action as well. In fact, 19 Sep was the first day he started walking. jie and I happened to be watching him and it was by a stroke of luck that I had my camera on him, so we captured the astounding first steps and cheered jubilantly when he stopped. He was such a a darling to watch, the intrepid adventurer, all raring to explore the world on his feet at 10.5 months.
we had a roaring good time
met mama's friend, Uncle Ivan, for lunch one day and found a swing to lounge for a while, took this photo with my chirpy little one who was often seen sporting a creased forehead
Went to MOSH! Sentosa today
Thanks to Uncle Xingshun who gave us free passes! There were 5 stations. This was the SEA station - aquarium.
scanning in the pictures that they had drawn and they would appear in the water.
Land Station where we could play hide and seek with the monsters that popped all over the table
Space station - where fireworks would explode in the sky according to your movements
Fantasy station - cute cuddly creatures bounding all over on the clouds
coincidentally, mama's N2 students were learning about MOSH that week so I took some colouring sheets back for the students. Hurray!
Even took some for my colleague, Aunt Eileen
The Air station - you threw air planes to hit the wall and they would turn into virtual aeroplanes and fly off into the horizon...plus there were different backgrounds, so it was rather cool
the icy landscape, looked like Elsa's ice palace
The prehistoric times when dinosaurs roamed the Earth
the blazing dessert
it was costly to play there, $28 for adults and $22 for kids, we were there for barely 1 hour and you were whining to go and explore other places! Phew, it was lucky that we did not need to pay, if not, I would really be regretful over the money spent.
the place was cheerily decorated with colourful murals of that adorable creature
Next stop - Butterfly Kingdom.
Very rustic inside
Up close and personal with moths and butterflies
I thought it was a stall selling earrings...upon closer inspection, they were cocoons! lines and lines of cocoons!
Ha, they put out some orange slices for the insects.
even espied a gigantic monitor lizard basking in the sun
some pheasants
really noisy macaws
even a pretty peacock
well it was not a huge area but we were having a whale of a time, I thought we liked the nature and outdoors more
an indoor gallery of exhibits
they actually used beetles to make this picture...kind of creepy and awesome at the same time
they made this picture using butterflies' wings!
this was made out of butterflies' wings and beetles...
Next stop - Merlion Tower
we got to redeem a gold Merlion coin, nice!
up at the top!
rang the bell for a wish
at the merlion's mouth
I wondered how the professional photographer managed to get so much light when it was so dark there
met up with uncle xs and aunt xinlin and we treated them to dinner at Dazzling cafe
another day of fun - the older two in matching purple
tong requested to take the photo for us, not too bad
did some online test and this was my quote which suited me to a T!
so...my birthday had come and gone in a flash,,, all looking forward to jun's birthday and Christmas!
